Out of the price range given ... but I'm a fan of the Jaeger LeCoultre Atmos Clock

they consider their work art, and apparently sell through galleries. design editions often don't sell at all, let alone sell out, so i guess it depends on whether these successfully appealed to the art buying crowd (i doubt it), or the clock collecting/design nerd crowd. gdl, let us know what they say if you contact them.

Something contemporary, interesting design. Looking for something out of the ordinary. Willing to spend a few hundred bucks. This is a gift for someone.
    I always liked this clock, SF: http://www.momastore.org/museum/moma...51_10001_19069 ~ H

Should I feel guilty for disliking most of the Nelson clocks?

I'm not a fan of the Nelson but not too opposed to it either.

I like that Junghans Max Bill a lot.

Love it. I love that teutonic type of watch design. I own a new Nomos Ludwig and I just think it's the most gorgeous watch. I wear it more than my others and it is a fraction of the price. In fact, I wish they made a full sized Ludwig as a clock.
