To illustrate how much 'fun' it can be trying to please our beloved customers... we have gotten PM's, emails and answers here with 17 different definitions of bottle green. Evidently the actual pantone number of bottle green varies according to how many empty green bottles are in front of you :)

We've got a better idea of the shade now, next question - lots of texture or more satin?

Sorry, been outta the office for a few days and have a few dozen orders and few hundred emails to answer :)

Chuck, you thumping dullard. ...Whoops, I was thinking about a different thread.

I'd prefer something textured, with a secondary color or two.

Chuck--Welcome back.

I'd rather have a green bottle in front of me than a pre-frontal lobotomy. . .

Y'all are funny.

OK, so I'm narrowing down "bottle green" to a shade that falls somewhere between "Kelly" and "hunter" green, leaning towards the darker?? I'm thinking of a Polo cologne or Heineken beer bottle??

If I have a chance later, I'll scan, then start another thread to get your votes on brown/blue silk selections. If you don't like anything we have, we'll take something else, and create our own.

Thanks again.

There was a layout a month or two ago maybe in GQ or British GQ, maybe it was Cargo. Regardless, it was all brown and blue ties, some cool ones too - if anybody can remember the issue this was from it might be helpful to Carlo.

It was an issue of GQ. There was a post on this forum mentioning the brown/blue look. I like it myself, because it gives me an excuse to wear more brown.

Wow, nice. I had no idea that was already on a thread. I think there are some good options there.

BTW > We have an Ike Behar shirt in blue and brown stripe that someone can have if ya want it for $20 (including shipping).

It's great looking, in like new condition, but shirts no longer justify the time and ebay fees required to post them there. I'll post a pic shortly. 3 little blue pin stripes and a thicker brown stripe. 15.5 x 33, point collar.

I don't wanna get spanked for posting a "for sale" item on the regular thread, but since y'all expressed interest in this season's favorite color combo, I thot I'd make it available if anyone's interested... It's been sitting in our stockroom for several weeks, but I refused to "give it away" because it's so nice and so "now".

I personally would favor the lighter, say, slightly lighter than the Heinekin bottle, just to add an extra bit of zest. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love earth tones, but sometimes something lively is needed in the mix.
