    This must hurt...

I don't know how to post images...But Manu, Parker, and Tim would be up there holding on to 3. And not being cocky asses about it. After all, they play as a TEAM.

I think the Spurs will be in the west finals again.. Hope the lakers will not resign Odom...

    Spurs all the way!!!!

As Sarah Palin would say- you betcha.

Damn, the Magic isn't done making moves yet?
This is a good one I think. A real PF that could play high intensity games and actually finish put backs well.
Great move by the Magic, watch out Cavs and Celtics. The Magic tasted the Finals and came close but they are hungry.
Next year is shaping up to be a great year for the top teams.

i didnt think the orlando made any good moves until now.

they get rid of alston, battie, and lee for vince carter.

    and they lose hedo.

so they were minus 1 or 2 imo. now with this move they are just getting out of neutral

Odom is only talking to the Lakers...they are just working everything out

who said this? is this true?
and why hasnt kobe signed yet???

No need to worry about Kobe. He'll stay.

As for Orlando, I think removing Alston isn't that bad of a move. There really isn't enough room for him and Nelson as you saw in the Finals. The Carter move didn't seem so bad once Hedo left, they need that replacement and I would rather have Hedo but with Carter, maybe more plays will go through Lewis, Howard and Nelson could facilitate more. The biggest problem is letting Lee go, he would have been a great role player/defender, he is pretty strong for his size. Battie, dude is also aging and I don't think he makes much of a difference, especially now that Bass is on board.

Now they just need a younger back up PG and a solid role player SG and maybe a back up center and they'll be on their way back to the Finals next year. It won't be easy but the Celtics are an aging team and the Cavs will implode with Shaqs and the Kings ego, not to mention all the talks of Lebron leaving. The Magics aren't guaranteed in the EFC but it might not be as difficult as some may say with some of Magics moves.

I don't get Gortat. I think he looked good in THIS YEAR'S playoffs. How much more I don't know....

Think of Gortat as a slightly more athletic Oberto. Slightly.

I think Gortat has more upside than Oberto, much bigger upside.

    More news:

Portland has been trying to make moves. Let's see how this pans out.

Gortat also stated that the Magic might match the Mavs offer for him so he might stay. Although Gortat stated he wants to get better and feels he will get more playing time in Dallas. More as the story unfolds.

i would love to see bayless in chicago. he's been buried on the blazers bench all year and i'd really like to see a rose-bayless backcourt.

    noah/miller
    boozer
    salmons/deng
    bayless/salmons
    rose

that'd be a fun team to watch for sure.

Oberto was much better in '07. I think the heart surgery was a bigger thing than anyone talked about.

I like the Spurs' chances. Only problem is their age...

It's funny how the Bulls asked for too much (Bayless). Common, you're getting Boozer and get to unload the contract of Hinrich.

Didn't know about the heart surgery. I do believe that Gortat has more upside, though, as RFX45 wrote. Gortat showed some flashes in the playoffs.
