There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Melo is probably the only one out of that bunch that is never going to win.

Charles Barkley is probably the greatest player without a ring. He was a freak of nature in his prime years.

The West is gonna be dominant this decade too.

Jazz had to overpay. No other big name free agents have signed there in 20 years. They've had to draft them all or trade

    yea Barkley was legit superstar
probably Wilkins and Ewing counted as those unlucky sobs as well

(Grant Hiill, Tracy McGrady cropped out their careers were too short)

Melo can win, depends how Phil builds around him- anyway he is only 30 so lots of chances before him, 4 prime and 4 ring chasing years :p

Not sure it's really overpaying. The salary cap is going to go up a lot in 2 years so today's max contracts will be midlevel salaries before they expire. Pretty much every young solid starter is in the convo for a max.

Ariza to rockets, means Parsons going to Mavs?? Wtf are the lakers doing? Fuck I hate the lakers but I expect them to be atleast competitive and they've had an abysmal offseason, just like the sacramento queens

So after all that, James signs just a 2-year contract with the Cavs. Leaving the door open again, I guess

The idea behind it isn't that he'd leave in a year, but that he's timing the contract to expire when the salary cap will be readjusted upward a lot because of a new TV deal, leaving space to redo his contract a long with all of the young guys.

Also there's a rumor that Gilbert agreed to sell Lebron a piece of the time post-retirement as an incentive for him coming back.

Ok, that makes sense, because there will be a new CBA that doesn't fuck the players as badly. But it does set up the chance for more lol

Think about how smart it is for Lebron though.

In 2 years he'll be eligible for early bird rights and still 'young' enough to get a 5 year contract at whatever the new max will be ($30 - $40 a season?). He'll make way more than if he just maxed right now.

Yep, it does make sense. Current CBA is absolutely horrid for players so I'd expect other guys to at least consider doing this as well. Problem is very few of them have the guaranteed signing power of Lebron so a lot of them might take the bird in the hand and sign a longer contract

Edit: and if the wink-wink agreement on acquiring ownership is true, then that has to be the true main reason. Owning a piece of his hometown team for the rest of his life has to be the hook. Illegal as hell, but I'm sure it's not the first time something like this has gone down behind closed doors

Seems like the Suns got him for nothing (ok, so they had to give away Alex Oriakhi, but who the hell is that?).

They should get rid of Kobe, and start rebuilding. Have no idea who would want him though.

Wish Pau the best. No way Lakers win without him.

At this point... Lebron probably could of got part ownership from any team. I am sure the league would not care if true.

Lebron must of enjoyed watching Dan Gilbert beg.
