Wow, Jrues fg% dropped by 1% while taking 3-4 more shot per game this year while doubling his assist #s. You were better off bashing his ft%.

Throughout the season Jrue consistently had the most turnovers tho of any player

Not true, Harden has 0.01 more turnovers per game last season.

I think KG and Pierce will shut Williams up.

Problem is $. Draft pics are a cheap bench in this climate. A second tier vet is still coming in at between 3 and 8m a year.

Sixers were never going to win a championship with Jrue. Not because he isn't a championship-caliber player (I don't know if he is or isn't), but because they'd have just continued to end up towards the end of the lottery/barely making the playoffs if they kept him around. Same place they've been for years. Philly isn't the destination that Miami/LA/NY/Boston is, so they're not going to attract top free agents. The only way to win is to build through the draft. So you make this trade, get a couple of lottery picks this year, probably a couple more next year (maybe hitting the jackpot and getting Wiggins), and hope it all works out. It probably WON'T work out, but there's at least a possibility, and the only alternative is staying in no man's land.

Now they should see what kind of 2014/2015 pick they can get for Thad. And play Evan Turner all year, and hope he does something worthwhile so maybe you can get something for him, too. And if he doesn't, at least you know he's officially a bust.

FA is open. It'll be an interesting week. Let the Dwight indecision begin!

    But for now, some news.

Knicks for Barg... oh my. Let the defensive fireworks begin.

Any team willing to swallow that contract has drank the kool aid. Stretching the floor is not worth that horrible contract.

Aha ha I'd like to see Melo, Bargnani, and Monta in the same starting lineup. Tyson Chandler must be holding a gun in his mouth right now

    Allan Houston 2.0?

Melo and Amare can't even share the ball and Amare can rebound. How will Melo and Monta share the ball (much less Bargnani)? Is Isaiah Thomas back in the front office?

So Lakers have a (not so great) plan B: lose Dwight, bring back Kobe slowly, and join the 2014 tank-a-palooza.
