1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Quote:You're not the kind of person my post was geared toward then. As to your other point, maybe they're not actually Heat or Cavs fans? Maybe they're just LeBron fans? I don't have a problem with people rooting for a single player no matter what team he plays for. So, I guess if someone is a Josh Smith fan (...), then he/she has a reason to go to a Pistons home game...

Yeah a lot of people don't have regional alliances to one sports team because they move around a lot. It's more common to see allegiances to individuals. I don't see what's so wrong with being a lebron fan no matter where he ends up

That's fine. But when they come off talking shit as IF they were a Heat(as an example) fan for a while, then it is all BS IMO. How does one go from saying, "the Cavs are the best up and coming team"...to "the Heat are one of the GOAT teams of all time?

That was the most entertaining team I've ever watched. Any team with passers as good as Vlade, Webber and Williams is going to play some attractive basketball.

the conspiracy theorist in me likes to think that the retiring of David Stern and take over of the SILVER HAMMER coincides with the Spurs practically sweeping the Heat (all wins by blowout no less).

in david stern times - I'd expect there to be 1000x more drama and bad calls and at least a game 6.

I do know that Silver wants to turn the NBA into a NFL model where playoff results/match-ups don't really matter (even the Super Bowl can be a matchup between small market teams and end in a blowout) and they still make trillions.
