Ok guys....I'm making my pick-i'm going with the spurs tonight.

Now, my big question is, if the Spurs do win, what happens to the Heat next year? Does the team remain essentially the same? does the big three break up? do they add another major component?

FWIW, it's all water cooler talk-and good fun, so let's let it rip.

Miami can't afford to add another "major component". I am not even sure if they can even afford the trio after this season, I posted an article about it and I think due to the new CBA, they'd have to pretty much break up next year or the year after that unless Miami just wants to pay up the ass or each one takes less money, a lot less.

All 3 can opt out of their contracts next year too.

I think all the pressure is definitely on them to win the chip because if they don't, it is probably safe to assume that this experiment is a failure and that a bunch superstars merging isn't always a guaranteed chip (Lakers :brick: ). The trio bragged and promised and celebrated winning 1, 2, 3... 6, 7, etc... championships even before they even got one so anything less than a title this year is just a giant disappointment on their part.

By their own standards they would consider it a failure, but I'm willing to bet any owner would opt to have three Final's appearances in a row with a championship mixed in.

I don't think any one seriously thought actually win eight... three would exceed realistic expectations. I mean The Decision was way more egregious than what was said at a Heat pep rally.

The whole thing was a circus. But your point about 3 Finals in a row is well taken. The Big 3 need help and the only real way to do that is if Wade or Bosh leaves. Bosh is the most obvious, but Wade makes more sense. The Heat are more efficient with LeBron and the Miracles (featuring Chris Bosh). He is the big kahuna scorer every wants him to be then, the best distributor, best defender, and most effective rebounder. Wade is as good a 2-guard as you could want and very good defender, but without a true point, he winds up dominating the ball and doesn't make good choices with it.

Can they make it happen tonight? No home team has lost game 7 after winning game 6 is a stat I read recently. Assuming that's accurate, the Heat grind out a win tonight.

Wade is not going to leave Miami. The heat was irrelevant before he was drafted.

No way Riley would let lebron go either

It really depends on if Wade is just injured, or washed up. If he's done, then they have major problems. They need him to be a penetration threat, open up space for their shooters and create shots. That's his whole role on offense, he's not a great shooter and probably isn't going to learn at this point. Look how their offense slowed down when he came back in at the end of Game 6. But when he's healthy, it works great. Tough decision.

Last road win in a Finals Game 7 was in 1976 or something. If anybody can do it, it's the Spurs though.

No one has lost a back to back game yet in this series though. The Spurs has lost 2 back to back games the whole season.

He's been hurt for a while. He came out of the locker room a few min after everyone else on Tuesday.
Banged one of his knees against ginobili on one play.

You can't trade Wade, very true. But. . . .

Clutch shot by Lebron to go up four at the close. He is the desrving King this year. These last two games were his.
