The Forum has been double and triple posting me automatically lately. For this I am grateful. It means my words carry 3 times the import of other members.

so it looks like Vinny Del Negro will be fired.... hmmm.... I wonder if phil jackson is interested.

when I was reading the article I saw that the clippers had 56 wins.. damn thats pretty good despite the crappy coaching. I wonder if this team really is a championship contender with the right coach..

it really does look like the clips are positioning themselves to re-sign cp3. I wonder if they will try to maneuver into the dwight howard talks too.

I haven't followed the Clippers closely enough (and am probably not basketball-smart enough anyway) to know whether VDN is a terrible coach or a pretty good one. But it clearly had gotten to the point where the public opposition to him had made his position pretty untenable unless they ended up going to the Finals. The disdain with which he is held may well have a solid basis in fact, but it's clear that there's also just a lot of flavor-of-the-month piling on by folks who (like me) have no real basis to express an informed opinion.
Proximity notwithstanding, this comment is not any any way directed at RX ^. Just a general observation.

I take no offense at all, no worries, but he really is a terrible coach and this is known league-wise. CP3 is the teams coach and almost everyone knows that, sadly.

Bleacher report makes crappy lists at times but this list from last year is pretty damn accurate:

#7 alone tells you how terrible of a coach he is, I kept pointing out to this scenario last year over and over again just because it simply boggles the mind:

In addition, lots analyst (and even Barkely) recognizes how terrible his offensive set it:

unbelievable to me that VDN being a terrible coach is still a point of argument anywhere.

Reminds me of the Lavin days at UCLA. :) (Unlike with the current Clippers situation, I followed UCLA closely enough at the time - had season tickets with my dad -- to hold the informed decision that Lavin was a disaster.)

Cavs got #1 pick again. Not even sure who is good in the draft but a good supporting player next to Irving would be great.

Portland with #10 and OKC with #12.

Regardless of supporting Spurs or Memphis, tonight has been some superb basketball. Probably the best game this season, save maybe bulls heat g1.

I liked the OT game with Spurs & Warriors better. OKC & Grizz OT game was good too.

    Definitely. Whew.

And how ironic that the call went against Manu Ginobili.

JVG cracks me up. And I think he's a great announcer.
