    Awesome. Thanks

I thought they did have a shot clock. You see those old films of Bob Cousy and they look like the frames are running through the projector too fast, but apparently they were really running around like that.

^I remember seeing a Celtics game in the mid 90's that featured Tod Day, and Dana Barros in prominent roles on the Celtics. :fu:

Go Grizz tonight! At the very least I hope there is a good series. It is a pity we are matched up against the Clips.

I know it's still kind of early but the Nets-Bulls is the only series that has excited me thus far (I did enjoy the closing minutes of the OKC-Houston game last night though).

Foodguy, or someone else who follows the Lakers - now that the Cavs have hired Brown, does that mean that the Lakers have to keep paying him still? I can't seem to find this out over the interwebz.

yes. they'd have to pay D'Antoni too if they can him early. Thats why they are reluctant to fire D'Antoni - shelling out major cash for two ex coaches is too much even for the lakers.

Its also the reason Donald Sterling most likely doesn't want to fire Vinny Delnegro - the product might not be the best, but its a winning playoff team and extremely profitable so no need to fire a coach with an active contract.

Once Mike Brown's contract gets settled with the Cavs, the Lakers won't have to pay him any more. So they can go ahead and fire D'Antoni and replace him with someone else, then repeat the cycle as soon as D'Antoni gets hired by someone!

    Westbrook out indefinitely with injury.

Spurs up next against Denver or GS, both lost key players -- then OKC, without Harden and now without Westbrook, esp if OKC come out of a physical series with Grizz/LAC -- and with a good shot against the Heat since their point/center are the strongest spots and the Heat's weakest [IMG]

as i understand it, there may still be some pay he'll lhave due from the lakes. but certainly not the whole bag. there is already, er, some "interest" in this possibility. though i have to repeat -- i can't remember a team in recent history that has been more snakebit by injuries than this year's lakers. it would be interesting to find out exactly how many games have been missed by their top 8 -- for argument's sake, I'd say: Howard, Gasol, World Peace, Kobe, Nash, Meeks, Jamison, Jordan Hill (remember him?). it's really been whacko.

Damn, you guys happy now? Durant can blow up and score 50 a game now.
Upside is Reggie Jackson gets to shine now. Extra downside, oldman Fisher.
