Kobe's reached the point where he'll be voted a starter in every ASG till he retires, like Magic and Jordan.

Ouch! This hurts, my Clips and my fantasy team.

Your fantasy team will be fine. I dunno how you did it but you drafted a bunch of players who are playing out of their minds this season (Gay, KG, Gordon, Aldridge, etc.). The only overperformer I drafted was Millsap [IMG]

As for the actual Clippers team, tough loss tonight. It's going to be hard to win w/o their leading scorer..B Diddy is gonna have to step up in a big way.

It's a popularity contest and for the most part the best of the best starts, Kobe is one of the best players in the game. He is one of the most popular in the world and leads the league in votes. No matter how you look at it, he is deserving that spot. You're crazy if you think otherwise.

You've got a point. Doesn't make it fair.

    Love this.

    Greatest player in the game.

    Next to D-Wade, LeBron, Superman

And, this season, Manu and Griffin...

    Manu Ginobili
    FT% .871 3PM 2.2 Steals 1.8 A/T 2.009

    Kolorado Kid
    .817 1.3 1.3 1.641

Which I guess means Kobe doesn't play defense and turns the ball over a lot.

Man you are stupid at times. You could shoot better ft (keep in mind, Kobe shoots almost 2 more ft a game than Manu so Kobe would give you more point oppotunity) and can make 1 more 3-pointer over someone who can score 8 more pts, rebound a bit better and shoot a better fg%? Really now? Even in 3's, it's a 5% difference and Manu shoots 2 more 3's than Kobe a game.

And Kobe doesn't play defense because he gets half a steal less this year? (Kobe 1.3 to Manus 1.8) I mean seriously, the only thing Manu is good at in defense is flopping and he isn't even the best for that, Fisher has that crown.

And Kobe turns over the ball more? Manu's 2.4 TOs per game compared to Kobes 2.9? Again, what the fuck! .5! Your main argument that Manu is better because he has stolen and losses the ball .5 less than Kobe? Oh wait, you forgot to mention that Manu blocks .3 more shots than Kobe and fouls more by .2. Well there goes Kobe's Hall of Fame career down the drain!

    ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!!!

I'd give you Lebron as being better than Kobe but Wade is not there yet. And Dwight Howard? And Manu and Griffin better than Kobe this year? What the fuck? You've lost all credibility by simply stating those stupid things. I really am starting to doubt your basketball knowledge.

i would love to watch a game film just focusing on kobe's footwork. he's not the perfect player -- probably never will be a perfect player -- but at this point in his game, you get the sense that every move has a purpose. those up-and-unders are things of beauty.

It's too bad that Kobe Doing Work video/movie wasn't more of a '21st Century Portrait' (clip) type film. But that's still probably the best place to watch his footwork.

yeah exactly. remember in the playoffs last year when kobe picked up anthony m2m and one of hte cameras focused only on that? that was amazing. at that level, what looks like endless shuffling and running here and there is actually a very choreographed dance and one step out of place can mean a score. i love watching basketball at that level.

Kobe's footworks is bar none unmatched at this point and he is one of the very few who still isn't satisfied with it. Check out this vids, you really do not see many, if any, players doing this.

    Kobe is Amazing.

I will be so sad when he finally retires one day. To see that day when he will not be on the floor anymore. [IMG]

amazing! thanks for sharing. particularly the secondone you can really see the footwork. of course, it's all predicated on that killer step-back. everybody has to react to that, which opens the way for the up-and-under step-through.

That's why I laugh when people say anyone is a more complete player than Kobe. No one else can do that.

i have a feeling in the next three years kobe will realize that he won't be a primary scorer forever and then learns how to be a point guard. he has size and could tap magic johnson to teach him how to run an offense like a point guard. from there he becomes a magic/nash type (perfect for bigmen + pick and roll) to pau/bynum (unlikely)/griffin//d howard that can also play defense. its his way of extending his career to win championships... he'd probably do the smart thing and take a veteran minimum salary to acquire more big name talent. plus its a good way to get out of the shadow of phil jackson (and his triangle offense) if jackson ever leaves. it would be the final way to prove he's the best ever because he changed his came drastically for team play to keep winning.
