Minnesota should trade for Rudy, just so they can boast of having the Gay-Love frontcourt
Speaking of LA, I'm looking for the lakers to beat the clips tonight (in spite of D'Antoni)
WHEW. i'm glad you guys got back to talking about the lakers. i was dozing off.
They didn't need the names for it to be obvious before.
its just when amare says things like he finally is learning defense.... its like a 40y/o guy deciding yeah I should go back to college and study political science! Or when my 40 year old sister decides that she's going to be a photographer - even though she's never even held a SLR in her hands.
There's always the chance that he learns to become a competent defender, even a beast but my skeptical side just sees his quote and goes
I think you're right to be skeptical. He's just not a defensive minded guy.
And per the earlier comparisons... I don't think he's immature. Never heard his name in the papers, nothing, from what I can see he's an upstanding guy. I just sense he's a bit dense, that's all, and didn't intend for it to get read into any further.
could also be that everyone is blowing it out of proportion. it sounds like an offhand comment, made without a lot of thought, that is suddenly being analyzed as if it was one of alan greenspan's pronouncements.
It's a lot worse than that. Imagine someone paying you 15 mill a year to tailor the best suits you can, followed by you saying, fuck it, I'm just going to be really good at making pants.
My comment about him being immature is based on what he shows as a ballplayer. Do you guys remember his demands to be paid as a franchise player in Phoenix? And when they didn't bite, New York stepped in...again I've already said I'm fine with that, but if he was more mature he'd recognize that he was now paid as the franchise player he said he was, and shoulder the responsibility of making himself and his teammates better every time he stepped on the floor. And then when he got help in Melo, he again hasn't worked on a way to mesh well with him.
Again, it's not ALL on him, but he needs to step up. He hasn't, so he's part of the problem
LA v LA tonight. Should be interesting.
Let's go LA! LOL!!
Who the hell is this Jordan Hill guy?? Super high energy, involved in every play, love guys like him on my team.
I've known my share of crackheads that looked just like Matt Barnes at their worse.
No shortage of high-energy-get-a-contract-impregnate-females-FTW 'talent' in the assn. He wont last. Very few evolve.
Damn.... looks like the Clips ruling LA, judging by the 1st half.
Separate names with a comma.
