Just got caught up on this thread after the holidays. Are you old enough to remember Villanova beating Georgetown for the national championship? Villanova, led by the 6'9" Ed Pinckney, outplayed a much more talented Georgetown team by passing the ball around the perimeter until Georgetown fell asleep and then running a backdoor play for an easy layup. They did this time after time for the entire game. It's the most perfect game of basketball ever played, but I was frustrated watching it at the time because I was rooting for Patrick Ewing and Georgetown. OK, I'm out of the way-back machine.
