1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

It took me overnight to get over the pain.

Ginobili hasn't played well in a while, We will need one of his "games"- 20+ pts, 8+ ast to win 4.

I was predicting a rout here locally.

Now the Spurs need to fire back on their own in our house.

Well, it seems more important to worry about where he can best help the team in the context of that game than about playing to his strength in the abstract. The Heat don't really rebound anyway. If you can take LBJ out of his offensive game, I don't think you mind that much giving up some defensive rebounding.

And don't forget that one of the defining accomplishments or Rodman's early career was guarding Magic Johnson on the perimeter in the finals. The guy was amazingly athletic and versatile early in his career, only becoming one-dimensional (while damn impressive in that dimension) later as he got older and bulkier (and coincidentally or otherwise, increasingly bat-shi** crazy).

And just to play six degrees of Kevin Bacon with it, one of the defining moment's of Magic's career was his dominant game playing center against the Sixers in the finals - in the abstract, clearly a case of pulling a great player away from his strength . . .

This kind of butterfly theory angle is pointless and just makes your head hurt. Every player's success is another one's failure because sports is the ultimate zero-sum game

    Agreed - stupid article.

LOL at Pitino's Plan B of building a Celtics dynasty around Keith Van Horn.

this is interesting, because i had dinner last night with someone who has been very close to the lakers for a very long time, who worked with rodman for several seasons and said that contrary to his public reputation, he was a terrific guy and one of the most mis-understood players he'd ever worked with.

Q: What are you asking of your defense in terms of covering Lebron?
    A:"I can't tell you that."
    Pops is awesome.

OMG DANNYSpurs baby SpursGREEN motherfucking HRoi

This game reminded me of "oh shit we're smoked Mavs" more than any I have seen. To get smoked and set a bigger fire? Miami on the ropes.

    Danny Gary Neil Green FTW.

Pops is just phenomenal, + Spurs has a longer bench, which I think will turn out to be the decisive factor in the series. Next game is the most important, if Spurs will lead 3-1, there is no coming back for Heat.

I actually do not understand why Heat does not play Birdman that much, they need more offensive punch and rebounds in the paint, who cares if he fouls often, these are away games, you are expected to get more fouls than the home team.

Yup. Spurs need to win. Don't give those Mike Miller bitches hope.

No Diaw. That was surprising. Look at TMac tryin' to make shit happen. Give him minutes in G4 Pop. Put him on Wade. Danny Green has emerged. Showing some D, now we have a baller. Hope Parker's hamstring is ok.

    This lost was expected

lol @ people surprised Spurs win. the 3's were just for entertainment

If Heat's win 1 I think they have an okay chance at winning 2 at home
If then win 2, I say it can be a toss up with Spurs perhaps stealing a win at Miami and possibly the chip

    Series is entertaining.

Don't leave Leonard out. He had 3-4 steals against LeBron.
