I am confused what is going through Scott Brooks head. In game1 he benched Ibaka and went small. Didn't work so he has him over Perkins tonight but he leaves Fisher out there instead of Sefolosha. Why? He is slower and was the Lakers' achilles in guarding fast and bigger guards, plus they have Durant, Westbrook and Harden in there so they are not lacking in scoring. They need defense and Thabo is long enough and fast enough to defend anyone in the Spurs line-up outside of Duncan. He is a defensive specialist. Put him in the game and take Fisher out. Fisher isn't even taking his open shots, he keeps faking and trying to drive. Again, Why? Save him for the final shot.

i think it's going to 2-2 then 3-2 spurs. dunno about after that.

spurs were getting all their shots in whereas okc kept missing easy layups. and fish sucked all night

I thought it was an excellent game. Obviously all excited when they went up 22. Then either OKC made major adjustments, or the Spurs just all stood around. (Or both). Hack-a-Splitter sucked, but it's Pop's invention.

Next game is key. If Spurs can win in OKC and go 21-0 it's all over...

spurs had so much ball movement going on even i had no idea what was happening until green/bonner/leonard/ginobli/parker suddenly got the ball and was wide open for a three ball

curls, backdoor screens, high post pick and rolls on either side (or even both sides), screens for the wing, screens on the weakside, etc. it was just all amazing

everybody on the spurs can basically shoot any ball anywhere and they have a few big men that are great at pick and roll like splitter and diaw. then you have ginobli and parker slashing and driving and hitting the open guys when the shot is too contested. it's hard to imagine what a better team would look like.

there were a few moments when nick collison or kendrick perkins had a wide open jump shot near the top of the key but it was sad cuz all they could do was pass back to westbrook or fish or harden

Fisher might be the worst player getting significant minutes in these playoffs. He is useless on offense unless its a spot up three (and even then its questionable these days), and horrendous on defense. Its almost as if Scott Brooks is taking his coaching advice from Reggie Miller.

No kidding. WTF? He reminds me of Spolestra in the finals last year getting out coached with small stuff over and over again. This was much more egregious. Fisher is useless and was missing shots. The only possibility was that he was there as a 3 point threat to spread the floor on offense so as not to let San Antonio rest back on D and clog the middle. Still, OKC did carve up the lead late but he shouldnt have been out there.

Ibaka was the better choice. Barkley is right, they cant both be out there at the same time. In fact he should start the game that way and just make Perkins the backup.

Westbrook was getting really pissed. You could see it after every score.

Starting to wonder if SA really is a better team to face the Heat than OKC. They got beat last year in the finals by a similar team in Dallas. I figured that OKC was a better matchup against the Heat players but Miami struggles against organized teams. If Boston could hit a basket they'd really be in that series. I wonder of OKC would fall right into their hands.

early part of the spurs reminded me of the phrase "the beautiful game". that's just great basketball. i think you guys who are so hard on fish are forgetting he was 5 of 6 last game. i'm the first guy to call him out on his physical limits, but i think brooks is using him as a steadying force. and he does have some history with the spurs, right stevie?
