So, does this finally mean that Fisher will go to the bench and Sessions will start?
Chances are good since Jackson isn't coaching anymore and he just happens to love Fisher. It might take a few games before the switch is made but Brown should be smart enough to start Sessions.
the warriors/celtics/houston were all willing to do it this year. if you can create a championship caliber roster then teams these days are willing to do it. Plus a one year rental of a max contract is awesome for salary cap flexibility heading into 2013 which is another CBA year.
I just read that Luke is involved in the Sessions trade? Fo Real?
Man....Cleveland is like the cesspool of the NBA. Welcome to Cleveland Luke!
i will never understand the trading of a proven player for even a high draft pick. you can go over the lists of the top 20 picks from year to year and the percentage that play out is small, except in the rare bumper crops. i bet if you averaged them out over a decade, you'd probably wind up with fewer than a quarter of the top 20 picks achieving any kind of notable success. this is win-win for the lakers, picking up a decent pg, getting rid of an expensive contract and as much as i three or four years ago, getting rid of a player that no longer fits in their system.
Well it is just that hope or chance that you'll get a Lebron or a Durant. For a team who has no more chance to make the playoffs anyways but in Cavs situation, they really do not need Sessions since Irving is the new face of the team and Sessions talents are wasted coming off the bench behind him. So the Cavs would rather gamble and get another big name, especially from a supposedly stacked draft year, than hold on to him and have him leave for nothing.
Blazers getting real desperate?
And SJax to the Spurs?
oh, i get why cleveland is getting rid of sessions. but i think history would prove that your chances of getting a lebron or a durant is not quite as good as your getting an oden or a brown.
I like that for the Dubs. He may be on the down swing of his career but he is a better fit than Jackson.
He has a big contract, no? That could be a problem.
And why didn't the Lakers (or any team that wants to win) go after Gerald W.? He is the exact type of player you pick up to win championships. Totally underrated as a player.
Infact, why did Dubs trade witht he fucking Bucks when PDX has a talent aden roster they are giving away for a grand poo-poo platter? If they want shit for gold I think we could have managed that.
Great pick up for the Lake show, who is the throw in?
i've always liked him, too. especially since he usually rips us a new one every time we play him.
Dubs got a #1 from the Spurs as well. Now this is mos def a decent trade.
S-Jax is off the books this year, Jefferson has one more year.
So basically a #1 in return for paying the last year off Jefferson's contract and they get to play him to boot. Not too shabby.
Lakers also ditched more dead weight in Kapano. Time to make the Blake trade and they come out smelling like a rose at the deadline.
Now if Brown could just get his rotations down. . .
