Wait, what now?
That was my question. From ESPN.com
"Afterward, Bryant lashed out at the Lakers' front office over the issue of whether teammate Pau Gasol will be traded. Bryant used a couple of profanities and said it's not fair to Gasol to try to play while wondering where he will be the following day.
Bryant said he doesn't want Gasol to be traded but "if they're going to do something I wish they would just ... do it. If they're not going to do it, come out and say you're not going to do "
fine... this one is Lin related... again...
Why do they call white people crackers anyway?
I don't think we eat more crackers than other races so what gives?
And she continues.
How did Mike Bibby get so bad so quickly?
But race is, like, just a social construct, bro.
Happens alot on all sports.
Mostly physical. Body just gives up. Otherwise they look at the bank account and say fuck it.
What I find amazing is how so many players bodies tighten up from a college age to slightly older. Take a guy like C Webb, watch that ESPN documentary and then a few years into the NBA, man its like 2 different people. Garnett is another example, Pierce, on and on.
I've often wondered if its all the weight training that's responsible for it, I dont know.
more importantly, wyhi?
Mark my words, Arenas will be in a Laker uniform after the All-Star.
I agree. I'm more curious to see who else will be in a Laker uniform. And who won't be.
Exciting game but man, you basically have the biggest offensive team performance of the entire NBA season and you almost lost? To a depleted Nuggets team? Not good.
Nobody knows. Everyone knows Lakers are willing to trade, no one has put the right deal forth yet. Leads to Gasol understandably sucking.
Hoe needs to STFU immediately
I seriously felt like they feel that they are so good that they try to make the game more exciting. One of the last few plays when they were down by 3 with ~50 seconds left, OKC missed a shot and Nuggets rebounded but Westbrook quickly fouled the guy for no apparent reason. Dude didn't even try to steal the ball, just flat out foul him. This is the second time I've seen them do this.
Reminds me of the old stories about the dominant Bulls of the 90's. They were so good that they didn't give shit about the first half and let the teams feel like they were winning and then they'd turn it up in the 4th and win the game anyways. The only loses they had were when they let that strategy lapse but still finished with record setting 72-10 record.
That is just my OKC theory and could be totally wrong but damnit, they are so damn good. They have the most TOs in the NBA as a team yet still have the #1/#2 standing in the league.
c'mon you're not serious... it has nothing to do with the food. One source of the etymology pertains to those field bosses who worked slaves in the south... they often used bullwhips for intimidation and control... thus the person "cracking the whip" became known as the "cracker" and most often these people were white. Interestingly, however, a good friend of mine who is black and quite a history buff tells me that it is not exclusive to whites as sometimes slaves who "sold out" and worked for the master to achieve greater freedom and perks could also be crackers. Thus I digress.... back to ballin'.
how's Dallas gonna look tonight against Boston after losing to NY?
