So many turnovers.
These NOLA uniforms are horrendous.
smh @ calling that a foul
was it just me or did they not call a lot of fouls this game? esp in the 4th quarter?
uggh. 8 turnovers in the first half by one player.
hornets defense was great today. otoh knicks just stood around looking at the ball and missed so many good shots
also hornets team uniforms are the second ugliest in the league next to grizzlies
For me, the first dunk was the most amazing. It was the perfect combination of creativity and power--before that I had never seen anyone do a reverse 360 dunk, let alone a reverse 360 plus windmill.
Kobe absolutely on fire with the entire repertoire tonight!
Yeah, he's definitely putting on a show. 17 assists by Nash as well.
He'll need to have more games like that if the Lakers are trying to go deep this season. Gasol and Bynum are solid, but the rest of the team is a total shitshow. Ron Artest/Metta World Peace is playing awful - I wouldn't be surprised to see Barnes get some starts sometime soon. I'd like to see Goudelock get some more minutes as well, having him playing well would be quite the asset as the team gets older and older.
Also, his play recently may have been overshadowed by Jeremy Lin, but Nikola Pekovic of the Timberwolves has been playing crazy lately. He and Love have put up some crazy stats the last few games.
Tonight @ Houston: Love 33pts, 17reb. Pekovic 30pts 12reb
Wed vs. Charlotte: Love 30pts, 18reb. Pekovic 21pts, 11reb
Mon vs. Orlando: Love 19pts, 15reb. Pekovic 16pts, 13reb
Sat vs. New York: Love 32pts, 21reb. Pekovic 21pts, 13reb
They definitely have a claim for the best offensive frontcourt in the NBA.
i've put pekovic in all my leagues last week.
also knicks streak might have ended tonight, but the spurs seem like they can go forever.
It should be a good test for them at the Clippers tomorrow.
Also, Tiago Splitter
ESPN has apologized for using a racial slur in a headline for a story on Knicks sensation Jeremy Lin.
ESPN ran the headline “Chink in the Armor” after Lin had nine turnovers in New York’s loss to the New Orleans Hornets on Friday night on its mobile website that could be seen on phones and tablet computers.
Someone's getting fired.
i don't think it was intended to be honest... i saw it live and i didn't think much of it
Unlike the n-word, "chink" seems to have offensive connotations to some Chinese, but not to all. Heck, even J-Lin called himself "chinkballa88" back in the day.
Means nothing if it doesn't equate to wins.
I'm just saying.
