he was in the air, took the hit, spun around, STAYED in the air, and somehow put the English on it to make the hoop.... ridiculous.

sounds like a boxing crowd in the staples center right now... like a gladiator battle... just swarming noise going both ways...

i've been watching all the Knucks games because i've got history with the Knucks. so yeah, i'm happy with Shumpert. but i've been watching most of the Timberwolves games for 2 reasons only: Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio. Rubio's court vision is fantastic. he's my early pick for rookie of the year.

i can't believe it took till MLK day for me to actually be able to sit down and watch my first NBA game. i blame being out of the country for a extended period of time.

    what did i miss?

Sadly, Irving will most likely take RotY.
He's actually leading his team, albeit terrible but still in 8th place at the moment.
He's been averaging 20+ ppg lately too so if he keeps it up, it's his to lose.
I'm still not that impressed though, he needs to get more assists and steals.

oh, and here's my contribution on the news front:

    http://espn.go.com/olympics/basketb...s-angeles-clippers-added-us-olympic-team-pool

if i were USA BB, i'd roll with:

G's: Rose, Paul, Deron, Kobe, Wade
F's: Lebron, Durant, Melo, Love, Aldridge
    C's: Howard, Chandler

tough leaving Eric Gordon and Rudy Gay off, but the others are more well-rounded. maybe replace Melo with Gay to improve defense. this would be a killer two-way team as long as Howard and Chandler don't get into foul trouble on defense.

    my pick would be

G: Rose, Paul, Kobe, Lowry, Eric Gordon
F: Lebron, Durant, Melo, Love, Ryan Anderson
    C: Dwight, Marc Gasol,

Also kevin love is owning stats wise and dude is a beast on the court. averaging nearly a steal and a block per game and he's surprisingly efficient

    Anderson over Aldridge? Why?
Aldridge doesn't get the respect he deserves, it'll be a shame if he doesn't get the nod this year.

And Gasol is from Spain so...
