    What "told you so"?

I never thought the CP3 trade was good for the Lakers, even before the NBA stopped.

I will always think shipping Bynum out and going after Howard should have been the top priority.

They may still get Howard, but if they do it means Bynum/Gasol/Odom are gone. I think Bynum/Gasol for Howard would be fine, but at least keeping Odom.

The Lakers lost Odom and a 2nd round draft pick. Picked up Kapono, McRoberts, Gerald Green, 1st round draft pick, and a 9 million trade exception.

They got younger, dumped salary, and set themselves up for a possible blockbuster mid season trade.

Am I the only who thinks Mitch did a solid job?

I know you guys will jump all over me for this, but maybe the Clippers will get farther this year than the Lakers...

Which is almost good enough to make me a Clipper fan.

Great news! It'll be fun to watch Paul & Griffin. I used to go to Clippers games during the Michael Cage era. Maybe its not too late to jump back on the bandwagon.

6' 5", maybe a good #2 but at age 56, maybe past his prime?

maybe it's just the conspiracy theorist in me, but is it coincidental that stern backed dan gilbert, who was one of the hard-liners in the CBA negotiations, and screwed buss, who was vocal about accommodating the players?
and i agree about the clips ... they'll be a really exciting team to watch this year. and will probably go farther than the spurs.

this is going to be an interesting modern science experiment....kind of like irresistible force meets immovable object.

will Paul's superstar talent finally turn the Clippers around, or will the Clippers' suck rub off on Paul in mass quantities and finally drag him down into purgatory?

    It will be interesting.
I think the Clippers will undoubtedly be better with Paul. However, they won't be the Western Conference or NBA champs that some in LA are now predicting. Not even close. Paul is one of the best PGs ever, but Eric Gordon is no slouch...and with Gordon the Clippers weren't even a play-off team. They're still young and not great on D.

Lakers' starting 5, listed by Mike Brown today:
    1: Fisher
    2. Bryant
    3. Barnes/Walton/Ebanks
    4. Gasol
    5. Bynum

    6. MWP

    Uh huh.
