oh, i get why cleveland is getting rid of sessions. but i think history would prove that your chances of getting a lebron or a durant is not quite as good as your getting an oden or a brown.

I like that for the Dubs. He may be on the down swing of his career but he is a better fit than Jackson.
He has a big contract, no? That could be a problem.

And why didn't the Lakers (or any team that wants to win) go after Gerald W.? He is the exact type of player you pick up to win championships. Totally underrated as a player.
Infact, why did Dubs trade witht he fucking Bucks when PDX has a talent aden roster they are giving away for a grand poo-poo platter? If they want shit for gold I think we could have managed that.

Great pick up for the Lake show, who is the throw in?

i've always liked him, too. especially since he usually rips us a new one every time we play him.

    Woot!

Dubs got a #1 from the Spurs as well. Now this is mos def a decent trade.
S-Jax is off the books this year, Jefferson has one more year.

So basically a #1 in return for paying the last year off Jefferson's contract and they get to play him to boot. Not too shabby.

Lakers also ditched more dead weight in Kapano. Time to make the Blake trade and they come out smelling like a rose at the deadline.

Now if Brown could just get his rotations down. . .

D Fish to the rockets for Jordan Hill and a pick.

Fish has been incredibly slow and awful this season, but it's still sad to see him go. Would have liked to see him retire as a Laker.

Correction: D Fish and a 2012 1rd Pick for Jordan Hill.

I love the little snippet from ESPN:

I seriously still think howard will be traded in the offseason. the "opting in" of howard for one more year helps both sides save face - but in reality just prolongs the agony of him eventually leaving.

damn thats cold... almost "danny ainge" cold.

    http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/...fisher-get-ramon-sessions-cleveland-cavaliers

this reeks of another salary dump. sad for fisher... fisher may be a defensive liability, but he's proven to have ultimate poise in crunch time (making the right pass, play, shot) 99% of the time.

    http://hoopshype.com/salaries/la_lakers.htm

fisher still has a player option next year... its obvious he'd just take the option for the last of his contract and probably retire a laker...but it was never really up to him in the end.

Damn, I thought the Lakers promised never to let Fisher go because of his daughters condition? It looks like the Rockets will buy him out and maybe eventually, the Lakers can get him back?

Jordan Hill is not a bad back-up PF/C, McRoberts and Murphy just isn't getting the job done and Hill has been decent when he got some playing time in Houston, he was doing well before they signed Dalembert.

    What?

Not sure about this one. Young is such a ball hog. Better than Foye at SG I guess.

damn that's cold. whatever you think of fish this year and last, he should have been given the chance to play out the string.

Yeah, Nick Young is a ball hog, but since you have Chris Paul handling the rock and making passes, it should be a non-issue. Young will just need to make sure he sets himself up to make shots while Paul feeds it to him.

Hill trade sounds decent. They get much better now, and lose out on a late first rounder. Not sure you can really hope to get much better than a Hill type player at that point in the draft anyway.

Brown NEEDS to bench Mruphy, fuck his three point shot, and have a nice tight rotation of McRoberts/Hill/Gasol/Bynum. Give the starters plenty of rest and keep Baynums min around 30 or so a game the rest of the way. Keep him healthy and fresh and give Hill and McRoberts time to find their place.

They unload Nene's contract for a cheaper McGee contract. I don't think Denver is high on McGee, but they need to free up some $$$ because Danilo is up for extension after this year and will want more money. Makes sense.

Except that they just signed Nene to a contract and he is one of the few true centers in the league. Not an easy piece to replace.
