i know what you're saying. but i'm not sure that's right. granted, he was tall, but his game was not at all unlike cp3s, when you get right down to it. both are very aggressive pushing the ball into the paint and both are good rebounders. and sometimes come up a little short when it comes to the outside jumper.
i'm actually kind of bummed by the trade. nothing against paul, but it's the end of an era -- and one that i really loved. of course, you could argue that that era actually ended 2/3 of the way through last season...

we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one. If you make me pick now, I'd certainly pic Magic first just because of his size alone and that is exactly why he differs from the others. He's stronger and can guard bigger guys and will have at least 5"-8" advantage over the other PGs. He is also very versatile and athletic and dude rebounds like crazy too, about 6-7 rpg (?) which to me makes him a hybrid. I mean if he played now, he'd be Lebron practically, maybe slightly better (?). But you wouldn't call Lebron a PG these days.

Being 6.8 doesn't disqualify you. Jerry West wasnt the 2nd greatest PG of all time. I'd put him 4th or 5th.

Just because he could play any other spot on the floor doesn't DQ him. In fact it makes his case stronger.

I'm a Laker hater- but now if they get Howard maybe I'll hate less. Superman rocks.

If anything, LeBron needs to embrace playing as a PG. His post skills are nonexistent.

Definitely not taking anything away from Magic, like I said, Top-Ten easily and maybe Top-5 off of the overall PGs in the history of NBA but when legitimate PGs come to mind, all I can think of now are these small guys running their teams, slashing, facilitating, etc... Not saying Magic didn't do any of those, he just transcends them, if that even makes sense. 10 years ago, I might not feel this way but these days, I just categorize him differently.

Damn, word is the Lakers is trying to get Okafor too. Maybe a bait to get Howard too? Even if they do not get Howard, Bynum and Okafor in the front isn't too shabby.

I'm still nervous as fuck, there is a giant gaping hole at the 4. LA lost both Lamar and Gasol... thats a lot to fill, even if they acquire D12.

So CP3 is pissed to be staying in NO for another year.

Odom was crying over leaving LA and his transvestite but should be happy to be back.

And now Pau will be softer due to the Lakers interest in trading him that surely hurt his feelings.
