Otto Porter stiffs the max offer sheet from Sacramento to sign the max offer sheet from Brooklyn. Washington has 3 days to decide if they want to match.
The Clips acquired Danilo Gallinari in a sign-and-trade deal. Gallinari is getting $65 million over 3 years. The Hawks get Jamal Crawford, Diamond Stone, and a 2018 first-rounder. Denver gets a 2019 second-rounder.
Otto Porter now warrants a max deal and the Clippers sign a guy that's always hurt for 20m a year.
They never learn.
Oof...a max deal is always nice and for that money I'd play anywhere. But a choice between Brooklyn and Sac? I'd develop a nice alcohol dependency.
Although Washington said they'll match offers, so maybe all is not lost.
I'm sad the Heat whiffed on Hayward. Another season of mediocrity coming.
At the same time I'm not too sold on Boston now being league elite. Certainly East elite, but is the trio of IT, Hayward and Horford really all that scary? In my book only Thomas is a top 20 player.
In fairness, they were already the #1 seed without Hayward and you can expect some development from the rooks and sophomores. But I think they need the emergence of (or trade for) a fourth star to really be elite
I read that the Wiz are actually being dicks by not matching the offer til the last day so that part of the cap is stuck in limbo til then
I'm waiting for the Mirotic overpay.
Damm....I wish my jump shot was better and I was 10 years younger. I would be making it rain:
Boston still gonna be trash.
Can SF collectively buy the Rockets? I figure with our $250k per year income minimum, we can easily raise the funds for a competitive offer.
Looking forward to providing input to Daryl Morey on whether Clint Capela is worth a max contract, or whether we should trade for Harrison Barnes...
You're exaggerating. We're not all second year law students.
I wish I had a grave to turn in. Ms Dracula would never get a night's rest.
