1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Damn Lakers and their nerve racking games. Good win though and Brown finally found a way to be useful, learn to shoot 3's. Lakers is still a horrible 3-pt shooting team but their bench is much improved behind the arc with Barnes & Blake and the improved Brown.

Brown is/was so hot and cold from 3pt range. I remember watching him at MSU and one game he couldn't miss and the next it would be horrible. Dude can fly though.

True but his Slam Dunk contest performance last year was a shame.

Wade remembers how to play... beats mediocre team. LeBron looks foolish.

Going to be a good season.

I really thought the Clips were going to pull off the win last night. They may still suck, although I'm still hoping for that 8th spot, but they'll be one of the exciting teams this year with Gordon and Griffin.

The LA Lakers recently received their 16th Championship rings in a unique ring ceremony at the Staples Center, where each player was introduced by another team member. Just like the rings from the year earlier, these were created by Jason of Beverly Hills and are a step up in terms of value due to the 16 carat gold and 16 large white diamonds. Not only did these rings raise the gold and diamond count, they've also made history by incorporating a piece of leather material from the 2010 NBA Finals Game 7 ball. There's no word on the exact price, but I'm pretty sure it's much higher than the $30,000 ring the Lakers won last year. Also, you probably remember that after the Lakers won the championship game, one of the first people Ron Artest thanked was his psychiatrist. Well it looks like he's putting his money where his mouth is by auctioning off his ring and donating the proceeds to mental health charities.

For being a giant/gaudy/16 diamond championship ring, it's actually pretty understated.

The game ball under the ring = nice touch.

Also, it just dawned on me that Adam Morrison gets one of these...to go along with his other one. LULZ.

He has more rings than the big 3 in Miami combined. [IMG]

I think I'll start a thread called 'What Can Lebron/Bosh/Wade do to surpass Morrison/Mbenga/Walton'

???? I think I change my mind. The actual ring part is weird. Reminds me of this:

I think the shape is suppose to represent the rings net net more than anything. That would be my guess at least. First thing I though of when I saw the shape was actually the NBA Finals Trophy, just squared off.

holy shit 24 assists for rondo tonight. The guy's a monster even if the Celtics kind of clunked past the knicks.
