I'm convinced you never found the series stats.

... you're a big boy, you can find them yourself. You'll see Dion "torch" Waiters averaged 8 pts 2 reb and 1.8 ast... like max deal territory.

There's a difference between SAS's bench performing poorly and the perception of an incinerator on the court. Cleveland got it right. He's an unwatchable confidence whore who gesticulates after every play.

    __________

In other news, I'm reading SAS will pursue Conley.

I'd rather see them pursue Durant. I think if the Thunder lose to GS, he'll be open to leaving.

Or even Pau Gasol-although he doesn't serve the need for youth and speed.

EDIT: Or Whiteside, if they feel they can get him to mature into the model citizen the Spurs prefer.

I think both Duncan and Ginobili will retire.

There's a fundamental question to judging how well a player played: How well did the player help the team to score and help prevent the other team from scoring in the time he was on the field/court/pitch/swimming pool?

This is why we don't judge goalkeepers by how many goals they score.
This is why Andre Roberson was invaluable even before he inexplicably started hitting 3s in the last game.
This is why Adams plays more minutes than Kanter, despite the latter having better scoring capabilities.
This is why Tim Duncan still played so many minutes, despite his scoring capabilities being well in decline.

I don't know or care how good Dion Waiters is normally. I do know that he had a very positive impact on the series for OKC.

Much more likely, even probable. If Duncan doesn't retire he's a 15 min a night bench guy.

    Yet you wanted those stats?

    Goalies, silly point.

    Roberson was expendable.

Adams is a center. Kanter is a stretch something, like Ibaka... no sense playing them together, so that consideration is solved.

    Duncan has been elaborated.

You "know" Waiters had a positive impact. Is this before or after the stats demand? I get your point, as Diaw is a guy that can't be measured statistically. Waiters definitely ain't, not by miles.

So moving past stats, you base your argument on intangibles, that's convenient. You think Waiters is sliced bread, I think he's a trainweck. Leaving it there.

I do not understand what you arguing about. It is pretty obvious that Waiters and Kanter were better in these series than Spurs' bench players. Duncan was not the worst player on the Spurs side and their second best big after LMA. Still he played much worse than expected without having a visible injury to explain such mediocre performance.

well the Heat are playing their last game this season. Game 7 of the East semis is respectable for a team of this talent level (especially without Bosh) but i'm still disappointed not to get a crack at Cleveland. i hope they can bring everyone back plus a healthy Bosh.

also, fuck you Danny Crawford. the reffing is not the reason the Heat are losing this game, but still, fuck you.

They got well and truly fucked when Whiteside went down. Especially with no Bosh. At least Toronto got great play from Biyombo when JV also went down. Congrats to the Raptors - they played great this game

It's encouraging to see him on his feet, but he's supposedly nowhere near ready to return.

I don't see any scenario where the Raptors don't get swept in the ECF. They played 2 7-game series while Cleveland swept both of their series. Toronto is also missing their starting center. Even if they were at full strength, the disparity in talent is way too big.
