Green can also take over KG when he retires, a core of Rondo and Green for the future is a good starting point when the big 3 retires.
a core of Rondo, Green, and Baby Davis[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] something's amiss... danny ainge is going to break up this team after this playoff run. maybe he makes a push for Dwight howard or something.

Ummm, he was and still shows flashes of it today. I've been following this guys career since his rookie years in the Clips, along with DMiles and QRich, the most exciting Clippers team in recent memory before Griffin beasted on the league.

I don't think there are many Jeff Greens in the league, he is an Odom-like player but less lazy. I just didn't see it as a problem from their series to the Lakers last year, they lost by a hair on that one. I just think with Perkins they become slower and less athletic, not to mention Perkins health becomes a liability.

I can see Boston having big plans for Green. KG moves to the center and have green be the 4th when they go small. He can defend all the wing players in the east like Lebron but can also defend smaller players like Wade or taller players like Bosh. Green can also take over KG when he retires, a core of Rondo and Green for the future is a good starting point when the big 3 retires.

    I said "several", not "many"....

Green like LO? LO lazy? LOL!!!

And replacing KG? Defending LeBron? Wow, you must really love Jeff Green!

well. i'll say this, if he had kobe's drive and discipline, he would be one of top ten all-time nba players in history. he could have been better than kobe. that is what i think of his gift.

    OUCH!!!

I hate the Celtics, but even I hope Danny-boy has something up his sleeve, for the good of the league.

But if he was going to break up the team anyway after this year, why deal Perk now???
And if Perk is so banged-up he's not worth it, then won't OKC rescind the trade at the physical?

The Celtics did not want to give Perkins a long term big money deal and Perkins was very likely gone when his contract expires. Chances are he would have signed with one of these new east teams (NY Miami) and contend with Boston in the East. Might as well unload him on the West while still healthy and has value. Right?

i'm not going to laugh at that. but i don't think he's lazy. i think he has a hard time being assertive sometimes. that, and the guy does seem to bliss out ... not as much now as before. i remember one game where at a crucial moment he inbounded the ball by dribbling it out himself ... just like in 1 on 1 or something. refs looked at each other like WTF?

And I said not many, so what's the point? I didn't say replace him the starting 5, but he is a good back up or reliever defender so that Pierce doesn't exhaust himself on defense, its the same thing the Lakers are doing with Artest and Barnes. Keep in mind, Miami has Wade, Lebron and Bosh to guard, their enforcer center is gone now so they need someone more athletic to match up. LO is lazy, he was like Josh Smith 2-3 years ago, huge potential but lazy. Setlling for long range, not hassling enough to get the ball. If they work hard and dedicate themselves, they can be a big superstar instead of a 4th option coming off the bench (Odom). JSmoove is realizing it now and I bet you if the CBA wasn't coming, he'd be getting a bigger paycheck that Odom. Now I am not saying Jeff Green that much upside but he is naturally athletic that can shoot and defend plus he has the length. He is a perfect wingman, like a better version of Tayshun Prince, can defend 3 positions but also a threat on offense.

I didn't say replace him the starting 5,...

    Well, yes, you said:

...Green can also take over KG when he retires...
which I find an absurd concept. I assume you mean as a starter, since KG is a starter....

...but he is a good back up or reliever defender so that Pierce doesn't exhaust himself on defense, its the same thing the Lakers are doing with Artest and Barnes. Keep in mind, Miami has Wade, Lebron and Bosh to guard, their enforcer center is gone now so they need someone more athletic to match up.
    That's more like it.

LO is lazy, he was like Josh Smith 2-3 years ago, huge potential but lazy. Setlling for long range, not hassling enough to get the ball. If they work hard and dedicate themselves, they can be a big superstar instead of a 4th option coming off the bench (Odom). We'll just agree to disagree on LO, OK? Some unrealized potential, yes, maybe (the KB/MJ drive is something extremely rare). But lazy? No.

Not hassling? Settling for long range? Not the LO I see, and certainly not this year. He's good inside, outside, off the dribble, on the break, on the boards. LO can play all positions on the floor at times. Pretty remarkable, and I don't think lazy gets you that.

Almost all of LO's current season and career stats are better than Green's, so if LO is lazy, then Green must be a real slug.
