Grizzlies coach was complaining plenty about the officials. It has been an inconsistently called series with lots of ticky tacky fouls and lots of bad no calls.

The Grizzlies are a good physical team and playoff basketball generally favors their style of play. As long as they call it consistently I won't complain but thus far the officiating has been haphazard. I don't understand why they call offensive fouls on Gasol for minor push offs but don't call obvious hacks or blocks.

There is some shrieking female in the crown that you could hear all night yelling inane coaching advice to the Grizzlies players. Maybe I'm the only one that noticed.

Golden State was effective last night, they are really nice to watch. Don't know why Memphis doesn't play Green more when they are struggling for points. It's been a better series than I thought it would be.

Steph, please stop gnawing that mouthpiece. You're the MVP. Nobody wants to see that gross shit hanging out of your mouth.

I was thinking last night that the warriors paint was really packed last night for some reason and read today that they had been having Bogut "defend" Tony Allen. Basically Bogut left him alone and only followed him on the same side of the court or stepped up when Tony Allen was trying to get into the paint. This led to like 3 possessions where Tony Allen attempted 3 pointers, missed all 3, and Joerger decided to just not play him in the 4th quarter because spacing was incredibly cramped and nobody could get into lanes.

Pretty smart, but I also feel like it would only work for one game while Joerger and his staff come up with some way to counter it

I guess you play Green, or Green and Allen together but then you lose a ball handler. Or, I guess, kick the ball to Allen and design a few options to stretch them again. Memphis can't really play small-ball and it hurts as you can adjust to their lack of dimensions.

Memphis has to solve how many open shots they gave up last night before worrying about it, though.

the refs in gs-mem haven't been great (when are they ever) but it was bizarre to complain about it last night. Esp to complain about physicality given, you know, your best defenders are bogut and draymond, who are super handsy 24/7.

Jeff green is shooting 33% in the playoffs and 29 from 3. Memphis doesn't have any options left. If they knew how to counter defenses leaving tony Allen on a deserted island they would have figured it out 3 yrs ago. The warriors have a much higher ceiling than the grizz.

Joakim Noah is so done, sigh, at least this year. Mirotic is sneaky and clever but his shot is way off.

Blatt chose to play Perkins at the end of the second half and he singlehandedly cost them at least 4 pts on offense and 2 on d, in a 2 min span. Worse yet, blatt kept him in when Noah came out.

Monty Williams got fired! Wow what a surprise.

Love Noah but my god. He has to stop this "point center" shit yesterday. He was amazing in the years that Rose was out but he has to stop asking for the ball. He really bogs them down offensively.

Nate Duncan out it really well: "@NateDuncanNBA: Because Noah can't do anything else, he tries to make up for it by making amazing passes, which only increases his TO count."

Taj got tossed when he prob should have gotten just a tech. I don't see how they come back tonight w/o him. Bulls have such a bigs problem. Their starting two bigs aren't that good anymore but they both still think they're all-nba caliber. Gibson is their best big and mirotic hypothetically should play a lot. Man who could have seen that issue coming.

Clevelands #3-7 have all been really good tonight, except mozgov. Shumpert has been REALLY good this series. Jr has been very useful. God what are the Knicks doing

Nice fan base Cleveland's got. I half-expected the Miami Heat middle finger lady to pop up.

Chicago's scoring droughts are just murdering their chances. Noah has become unwatchable... I mean, the hands out act down the court after 2 points when you missed 4 shots, a corkscrew jumper, 2 turnover and just general bad play? It's kinda sad. This was the DPOY last year, but this kinda smells like career done, not just series done for him.

The Gibson ejection was a terrible decision. And so was leaving Butler on James after he had 2 fouls. James scored like 10 points in a row or something. You just can't do that as a coach.

Pau Gasol being out means much more to CHI than Love does to CLE. Kyrie was hobbling all night, why they didn't do more to attack that is another mystery. Thibs coaching has been suspect and it seems like a symptom if the claims he's lost the locker room are true.

Looks to me like he was expecting him to catch the lob in the air.

Same can be said for the hawks. I completely dismissed this series but it's been my favorite one to watch.

hawks i think the first 3 games i didn't quite understand why they were settling for so many jumpers instead of having a nice mix of getting to the basket and outside shots. but the past two games they look like they normally do

my favorite so far is the grizzlies warriors series. then the bulls cavs. and then hawks zards

quality second round so far tho. really loving it.
