Your assertion that it's a superstar driven league is debatable. It's clear star players make a difference in championship results, but it's only superstar driven from a marketing perspective.

i would rather watch a baby rabbit choke on a carrot than watch the spurs win another championship, but damn. i still love watching them play. just don't win conference finals.

New great white hope emerging, Dukie bound. Quick release, makes his own jumper on the dribble, reminds me of Curry a little with decisive clean moves. Needs some refinement, but he can play.

Klay has it going. Looks like Memphis dropping in the standings.

today the 16-time champion lakers played players named Black, Blue, and Brown, none of whom were on the team 4 months ago.

byron scott played his starting guards 93 minutes. the only promising player on the team hurt his ankles twice tonight and sat a total of 49 seconds.

in minnesota the only hope of the franchise says his knees are chronically sore and he's "hurting all over" but flip played him 44 minutes tonight. they lost again, and have lost 11 in a row.

New Milwaukee Bucks logos, looks a bit old school.

Does he have Tourette's or something? What is with celebrities and these insufferable affectations? It's so obviously unnatural and histrionic. I've seen this countless times but can't think of any others of the top of my head.

There is quite an interesting story on the whole process and how this came about on ESPN somewhere. From what I recall, I believe those rendering are about 75%-85% "done" as it were… I guess they are still tweaking small stuff, but generally speaking will look like the ones RFX quoted.

Looked to me like he was doing a pretty fair Kobe impression.

So there you go… yes, Kobe IS that way, thus it is he. Westbrook should stick to being a basketball player… impressions clearly aren't his forte.

Those awkward laughs from the reporters too, no wonder he can treat them like shit. They take it willingly.

I can think of 100 players that act that way. Iverson, Cousins, Sam Cassel to start.

it's too bad that paul george is a bron fan cuz otherwise i would swear he and his new headband were just trying to rub his super-low hairline in lebron's balding face.

look at him, there's extra hair sticking out under it! it's the complete inverse of what bron looked like w/ a headband! one of the best threeheads in the game.

    ok! playoff scenario time:

SAS @ NOP tomorrow, spurs favored by 5
    UTA@HOU, rockets by 3
    OKC@MIN, thunder by 14
    IND@MEM, grizz by 4
    ORL@BRK, nets by 8

    WEST:
seeds 1, 4, and 7 are set (gsw, por, dal). portland will not have home court advantage in the 1st round.
8 seed: if the pels beat the spurs, they're in. if the pels lose and OKC wins, they're in.

seeds 2-6, as from matt moore:

memphis has 27 losses, everyone else has 26.

basically, if the spurs win (and they are favored), they get #2 and face dallas.
the clippers are #3 at worst, and can jump to #2 only if hou/sas both lose.
the rockets are most likely 5th and face portland.
grizzlies cannot move higher than 5th, and will most likely stay 6th.

if everything plays out like vegas projects, then we're gonna get: GSW-OKC, SAS-DAL, LAC-MEM, HOU-POR. rematches galore!

    EAST:
everything is set except for the 8 seed. if indy wins, they get it. if they lose and brooklyn wins, they get it.
