Hi,
I have a couple of gray suits but no real navy suit (soild nor pinstripe). I need to make a new suit purchase within the next two months. I am about 5'9", 145lbs, usually wear 38R or 38S with a 31" waist or so. Based on the research on these forums, people usually recommend the Ralph Lauren, RLBL, RLPL suits but these retail at $1800 which is above my range (my range is about $500).
1) I know a lot of people mention Ralph Lauren to have great sales, does anyone know if there are any upcoming sales/events in the next 2 month period to keep an eye out for?
2) Are there any other suit recommendations for the basic navy suit other than the RL?
I will keep an eye on B&S as well. I guess if all my suits are around 38R the tailor can make the necessary adjustments to purchase the suit online or over the phone without trying it.
