I am looking for advice on a classic navy sport coat. I'm operating on a budget (would prefer to only spend up to $250 or less). I basically just need a sport coat that can be worn with slacks and a button down to dress up my standard business casual a bit.

Any suggestions? I'm considering this: http://www.amazon.com/Ralph-Lauren-S...0563921&sr=8-3

But I'm also completely open to suggestions (total sartorial amateur here).

Thanks in advance.

Forget that one. Have a look at the B&S section of the board.

Go to Brooks Brothers and try one of these on and find out your size. Then get a BB corporate membership from Borders Rewards (google) and get one for 25% during their corporate sale coming soon.

In response to your earlier question, yes. Sounds like you want higher quality than that. Well, I cannot point you towards a readily available source for a price I know is within your budget. I simply can't think of any brands off the top of my head.

Keep checking out Nordstrom Rack. I've got good money that a J. Abboud or HSM will pop up. They usually have Burberry's too, but your paying for the name for the most part.
