I've been looking for navy Authentic Originals forever, but can't find them anywhere. However, I stumbled across these and want to know if anyone has seen them in person. I can't decide if the perfs would look stupid or not.

I had the same question a few days ago. Journey's carries Navy Topsiders, as do Urban Outfitters. Zappos seems to intermittently have them in stock.

n.b. The UO near me sells them for $72 in-store, if you don't want to pay shipping.

I was just at my local Macy's a few days back, and they had top-sider classics in many colors in stock at $70. They also had those perforated "seafarers" on the clearance rack (I think for something like $40). They even have a private men's sale going on next week (though may vary by store) for 20% off all men's clothing...

Is $56 for a sperry too good to pass up? I've just spent too much money, but was planning on getting some boat shoes for summer at some point...

Zappos still gets the Navy A/O's regularly. Just keep checking their site because they sell out fast. Also, my local Macy's has a pile of them.

I own those exact pair of shoes.

A) the perforations are not as evident in real life. Seriously, if that's what's holding you back, don't worry 'bout it.

B) I like the idea of wearing shoes with no socks, but I hate that my feet sweat more than normal and it gets kinda gross. The perforations provide ventilation and your feet won't sweat at all.

C) I absolutely love these shoes and wear them as often as possible....they go well with EVERYTHING.

D) I bought them at Nordstrom last summer.

Isn't the sole on the perforated version different, too? Looks like there are extra horizontal "channels" in the rubber.

Shoes.com has them. Buy something around $25 to go along with it, use their 20% code and get free shipping with $5 shoes.
