Hello - Just curious to know what everyone thinks would be the best scarf colour (if any below) to go with this peacoat and a black turtleneck:

https://www.crombie.co.uk/pure-wool-navy-peacoat-216.html

I also wear these dark leaf chelsea boots:

The scarf colours are beige, nougat, and chocolate going from left to right. Mid-grey is also an option.

Unfortunately - the nougat colour is out of stock! Waited too long thinking there might be another discount.

Here's another brown option:

I just recently bought my first scarf but when reading on how to add it to my wardrobe I seen advice not to wear it with turtlenecks, the turtleneck warms your neck and the scarf is not necessary. Rules be damned I would say the cream would be the nicest with said peacoat and boots, the nougat would appear to try to hard to match the boots while not quite succeeding, the chocolate and mid grey would look nice as well but I'm leaning more toward mid grey between the two.

Grr - the cream is very nice, but I feel like it is not versatile since it is a lighter shade. I think the nougat is the most 'luxurious', but didnt think about the fact that it is 'trying too hard'.

The nougat is quite nice, I might be being a bit hard on the poor scarf, but when im wearing a few solid colors I like them to kind of flow in the same shade. Matching a scarf to boot color isnt mandatory as for as I can tell.

Interesting about the shade matching. Regarding the boots - that was just a coincidence that they are 'similar'. Tough decisions.

Have a look at the fourth option I posted from colombo (100% cashmere). The nougat actually ran out of stock because I waited too long hoping for an additional discount.

Playing the waiting game on sales is always a dangerous game. I like the 4th option quite a bit.

First,
Great coat - I'm actually wearing the same exact coat today. I really love it. If you're only wearing the scarf with the coat and not as a fashion statement without the coat when you're inside - the shirt color is irrelevant. I would caution about making everything dark. I prefer to have some color. I actually switch between a couple of tartan scarfs. But you want the scarf to be coordinated with the coat primarily and pants second (since it's a short coat). Shoes and Shirt hardly matter.

The coat is certainly my favourite piece in my whole closet although I notice the quality is lacking since the threads along the quilted lining inside come apart. It is also more of a fashion piece than it is for warmth. Do you like the brown scarf by Colombo?

Ya...I think I would have to agree with you there...on top of that it costs $300. I am having second thoughts about the beige one...bit out of my comfort zone since I like dark colours due to the formality.
