Navy Blazer With Mother of Pearl Buttons?

MOP buttons are one traditional choice on navy blazers, the others being metal and horn of a contrasting color. It’s a matter of personal taste; I prefer horn, finding metal buttons (especially gold) a bit too country-club, and MOP rather showy.

I’m also not a fan of single-breasted peak lapels, but again that boils down to personal preference. If you like the jacket, it’s fine.

The buttons have no bearing on the trouser color.

So you'd say the mother of pearl is just a versatile as horn buttons? Basically any traditional pants but black and navy still work here ?

MoP buttons are fine and I really wouldn’t worry about the color pants. I’d avoid black but that regardless of the button color.

I would not wear a navy Blazer with either black or blue pants, regardless of buttons.

Also - I also don't really like single breasted peak lapels for a blazer. It can be ok for a suit. I also think patch pockets are very incongruous with peak lapels generally. Would consider a different blazer.

I agree that the peak lapels and patch pockets don't really work well. I'm also not a fan of the contrast of the MOP with the blazer.
