And navy shoes? Probably not.

A navy belt with a navy suit seems like you're trying too hard. Besides a brown belt to match your brown shoes would look better anyways. I would wear the navy belt with a non-navy trouser, especially with a pair of navy shoes, like the EG for Kurt Geiger chelseas.

I've actually never seen a navy belt before and i'm sure there is a good reason for that.

Ahh to be honest, I think at times a brown belt with brown shoes looks like you're trying to hard. Darker browns like chestnut seem OK, but it's the tan and lighter colors that dont look great...,

I was thinking navy belt with navy suit - then you can do black, chestnut, tan, cognac, whiskey boots - like the guy who has all those color boots lined up in the RM Williams thread.

I say go for it, as long as the belt and the suit are the same shade of navy. Would you wear brown shoes? Honestly, I don't even think it would be that noticeable.

What about charcoal shoes and a charcoal belt with a charcoal suit (provided that the suit, shoes and belt are all the same shade of charcoal, of course)? How would that look (or work)?

I have a navy crocodile belt that I wear with navy shoes, but I wouldn't wear either with a navy suit.

When you wear navy shoes don't you match your shoes with a navy belt? Wouldn't that make sense? Not sure about with a navy suit though, but what about with a blazer and chinos?

Navy shoes and navy belt with white trousers maybe. With a navy suit, not so much...

Things aren't so hard and fast like that...

The navy belt could be interesting. Much of the time it will blend to the background (unless it carries a distinctive texture. As someone mentioned, it might be nice to pair with an odd trouser (I'd particularly like it on a mid-gray). No reason not to get a bit creative with things here.
