Navy Basketweave Wool Suit

What are your thoughts on using basketweave wool for a business suit? Any opinions/recommendations would be appreciated

Id also like to mention that its going to only be my first suit so I need it to be pretty versatile, esp for a law office environment.

Of course it's fine. Try a single breasted two button suit, fully lined, both navy and grey are great for a conservative office environment.

What I consider basket weave is too soft for trousers and is only suggested for jacketing. Certain hopsacks can be used for suitings but basket weave is usually too soft and too loose of a weave. Would confirm this before ordering.

I'd go with hopsack rather than basket weave, if have two hopsack suits. I'd never wear a suit to work on principle, but if I had to, it's likely to be so sharp it would offend your average sun tanned businessman.
