Oilers named Ference their captain, and have named six (6) other players alternate captains.

a locker room chock full of leaders, apparently.

So reading the reports out of Toronto it sounds like this year's goalie controversy has moved east.

As I see it we had Luongo/Schneider as 1 & 1A, in TO it is Reime/Bernier as 2 & 2A. But you'd think it was Sawchuk and Bower on the roster this year from all the chatter.

I wouldn't be surprised to see LA or the Hawks take the Cup this year. Both should be extremely strong teams come playoff time barring injuries.

i was actually happy to see Scrivens traded to LA from the media mess that is Toronto. I've met him before, and he's a super nice guy and a bit of a funny nerd. I watched him all throughout college, and it was cool to see him develop from kind of a wild heart attack inducing puckhandler to a top top-10 contender for the Hobey Baker award.

oh come on. that was too easy. and you know it was ripe for a setup.

when a call up goalie from the ECHL starts for Philly this season, I'll be sure to bring that up as well.

surely the Caps will get one on this 5X3. PP has been theirs all night.

Well, I guess it was first game chemistry woes for the Flyers. 1-7 on the pp is not going to cut it.

nevermind that there's 81 games out of the 82 game season left, Jets fans are calling for Trouba to win the Calder.
