1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Kesler back tonight - playing him back into shape. Probably take about 5 games. Hope the old Kes is back.

Good one, I had to laugh.

Lets hope not. He actually has started to shut up more, but we prefer he stays on his feet. and use his skill.

Oh God it is torturous watching a Phoenix Coyotes game, clog, clog, clog. Give props to Smith for being a very good goalie - but ditch the mullet man!!!

So Kes gets the winner. And stays on his feet the whole game!

The Devils are playing great hockey, dominating shots-on-goal, but they're just not finishing. They've out shot every opponent but one on this 7 game losing streak... and 5 times the difference was in double digits. It's just so frustrating as a fan.

Rumor has it that Marc Staal could be skating in roughly the next week.

he could have helped in the defensive zone last night.

edit, update: he met with reporters a few minutes ago and said he started working out last week and skating yesterday, though there's no timetable for return. The fractures have healed, vision is not yet back to 100%, but there were no concussion symptoms.

AGAIN. Shots 28-18 Devils, but they lose 5-4. Brodeur is not looking great. Average goaltending would have won that game.

Love Brodeur, but there are better options out there for a starting goalie. Still incredible that he is in the mix at his age.

Looks like JS Giguere's public shaming of his team paid off and they stepped up big time vs Anaheim.

Understand the firing but the hiring part leaves me a bit perplexed.

So now that the Flames have traded J-Bo and Iginla and have lost Glencross and Wideman to injury, they call up seven AHLers and... start to win games. Nothing like playing your way out of a top-five pick when the season is already a lost cause. :fu: Not that I would ever hope for my team to lose; its just frustrating that they piss the season away when they have their full roster and then actually start to put out a consistent effort when they are essentially fielding an AHL team. Even so, it was nice to see the young talent playing to earn a roster spot for next year - Reinhart looks great and I'm hoping Baertschi will be a regular next season. Pretty glad that they re-signed Joey Mac, too. He beasted on the Wild tonight and has done incredibly well for a waiver pick-up.

Nice to see some vintage Kipprusoff in what may be his final few games. Great reaction from the crowd at the Saddledome... it'll be strange to not have him back next year. :(

Glad Montreal carried on its spiral to give the Capitals a little cushion. These final games are huge.

Brad Richards goes silent for most of the season and the buyout talks surface.

then, right during the most important do-or-die stretch of the season, he racks up point after point. clutch, i hope he stays on it.
