1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I met a guy who worked for Rockport two days ago at a real estate conference. Super nice guy and well dressed---------------> He wasn't wearing Rockports! [IMG]

Not as bad as Kenneth Cole though!

    that's one expensive interview.

Not really. The was move was inevitable because my wife had already accepted a position in the new city. The $350 spent on the suit would have been spent on another flight to interview on another day.

I'll revive this thread - Burberry trench coat for 995. The coat is nice enough, 995 dollars though ...

Ditto on the shirts. They hang about 1" over each shoulder, collar 1" too big and all baggy full cut.

Hehe. I still have them in the very back of my closet. Sometimes I wonder the same thing you are. Then I sigh and promise myself to list them on ebay no later than tomorrow.

Oh man, probably about $1000 dollars worth total (probably not a lot here, but for me it is.) I have a few ill-fitted Macy's brand jackets, a bunch of Levi's jeans, and far too many shirts/sweaters from mini spending sprees I used to go on in places like Kohls and 'mall tier' brands. I'm so glad I found this forum, because since then I haven't regretted any purchase yet.

Btw, what do you people do with all your old pre-SF regrettable purchases?

    More MW horror:

Navy ventless number with silver buttons, a size too large.[IMG]

    PLUS

Tan shirt that literally turned pink around the collar from normal wear.[IMG]

The people that work there seriously have little to no knowledge. It's like buying a serious audio system from the kid at Best Buy. They should be ashamed for taking advantage of people.[IMG]

I sacrifice them to the Goodwill gods in hopes that at a later date I find something of quality there.

    Nunn Bush and Aldo shoes.

Somehow I managed to buy a bloody size 16 dress shirt. My MTM shirts have a collar that is slightly over 14 inches. And I haven't shrunk either; I looked at my old pictures and cringed.

I also bought as my first ever suit a black suit from Burton. Pretty cheap at least and is, sadly, getting some use at a couple of funerals. [IMG]

The week before I stumbled upon SF I took delivery of a smart black suit I had made in London. The guy even tried to talk me out of it but I was adamant I wanted a black suit...! Bugger. [IMG]
