Great acoustic music that pretty mellow. Personally a top 3 band for me and they are fairly unknown except for in cali.

I love Slightly Stoopid. Jedi is one of my favorite summer songs ever.

I'm resurrecting this thread, because I have an important announcement to make. "Howl" by Subheim is one of the sexiest tracks of 2008. Download it. Then get nasty to it. If you can't find it, I might post a link. Edit: Here's the link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=M4AOWVB5

I'll nominate: "Days of Being Wild," by ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead.

Man this album was/is good.

I think that everyone should at least listen to this. It's so wonderful that I actually paid for the song through iTunes, although the album version isn't quite as good as this one (minor differences, but still).

I would assume the point of this thread is to post things people wouldn`t necessarily have already heard.

Pedro the Lion - Simple Economics

Dire Straits - Telegraph Road

And for somewhat broader appeal,

And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead - Will You Smile Again For Me

Everyone should get the album Marquee Moon by Television, in the hopes that a few new people listening to it will cosmically draw it out of my head where it has been stuck for a week. It is actually very good... I could compare it to some Talking Heads songs and some other very random New Wave and 80s rock songs, but if you didn't know, you'd have no idea it wasn't brand new (other than the not-suckiness). Was an interesting recent discovery for me.

Strangely I've had that one on the 'fixin to buy' list since Rolling Stone gave it props in...what, 1988, in one of the top 100 lists. Might have to bite the bullet finally. It's only been 20 years, I guess I've procrastinated long enough.
