I would probably go 29. My deep indigos haven't really stretched much except for the waist with about 8 months total wear. They would fit a person with a 32" waist snuggly. So that's really not that much bigger than your 31.5 waist, plus you can wear a belt which is what I do. The thighs measure 11" so not sure how tight you want the thighs to be and since my thighs are around 18" they haven't stretched. You might be able to get them to stretch a little.

I just got a pair of Low Tension for $112 from Revolve Clothing. I was wondering about them being woven with such a low tension that they might shrink more than normal. I wonder if I should warm soak them first, so if they do shrink the fades won't shift and my cuffing will stay in the same place. Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

Having also taken advantage of the Revolve 30% off for a pair of Low Tensions, I'd like to know as well.

(Also, mister56, how long did yours take to arrive? My estimate said the 23-25 but they're still not here.)

Given that most slubby denim (across various brands) is due to low-tension looms:

Having experience w/ other slubby brands, I would say don't worry about it. It shouldn't shrink down any further than other WG models (I believe the disclaimer is 3% or thereabouts)

Naked & Famous: Spring/Summer 2013 Preview - "Regular Shirt" [IMG] Coming spring 2013, Naked & Famous shirting will have a new focus. The collection features a new shirt fit called the "Regular Shirt." The Naked & Famous original button down fit is called the "Slim Shirt" which is slim in the arms and through the body with darts along the back back to add a little more of tapered fit in the body. The "Regular Shirt" fit is identical to the "Slim Shirt" fit, the main difference is the Regular Shirt will not have the darts in the back and thus more relaxed. Other differences include arm holes being a touch wider, and so is the cuff. Sleeve length is also increased, and only 1 button cuff closure. For those who like the Slim Shirt fit, you will also love the Regular Fit. The spring/summer 2013 collection will feature a lot of beautiful fabrics in both the Slim Shirt and Regular Shirt fits, but today we focus on the "Regular Shirt". For those who have been asking for this fit for way too long, here is what to expect in early spring (December or January delivery). [IMG][IMG] 8oz Oxford - This oxford fabric is a N&F standard used every season in different colors. This spring they will introduce a dark Navy color and will only be made in the Regular fit. Price $115. You can see from the photos, the "Regular Shirt" fit is very similar to the "Slim Shirt", just with a bit of extra room through the body. [IMG][IMG] Double Gauze - Fabric is a 6oz gauze cotton woven in Japan. This fabric is my personal favorite as it is ridiculously soft and the colors are easy to coordinate. Available in green (left) and black (right). Price $155. [IMG][IMG] Air Twill - Super lightweight and breathable 4oz Japanese twill fabric. Only available in Beige (above) in the Regular fit, but will be made in 3 other colors in the Slim Shirt fit (Pale Blue, Violet, Pale Grey) and all of the colors are great! Price is $115. [IMG][IMG] Chambray with Multi-color Neps - 5oz Japanese chambray that has slub neps of various colors. Beautiful solid colors in Sky Blue (left), Light Grey (right), and Pale Blue. Price $125. That double guaze green shirt looks awesome. The removal of darts doesn't really change the shirts that much because they'll still be tight in the arms.

Actually the fit will change a bit more that I originally described, but the silhouette is basically the same as the "Slim Shirt".

    The other differences are.

Arm holes are now wider, and so is the cuff. Sleeve length is also increased, and only 1 button cuff closure.

The arms on the slim shirt are super tight and the chest could also use a little room, the opening and everything else is near perfect.

so I am getting bored of my NF deep indigos :(

I think they are too fitted and that is causing me to dislike them and my fades are not setting in as I expected. :(

Yea, the deep indigos take a long time to fade. Do you have any pics? How long have you worn them?

I bought my pair in March and have been beating them down ever since. These jeans take some serious work to fade, but in the fall I'll wear them while I bike around. If that doesn't do the trick, nothing will. Stay strong.
