I really think I've found my cut with the wg. I'll probably size down to a 28 and get them hemmed to a 29 for my next pair, but I love how they fit on me. Especially because they are hemmed so there really isn't that much taper, but it looks good imo.
I can't size down 2 on WGs though (I need a 27 lol), so the waists don't fit [IMG] I guess Skinny Guy is the one for me right now. In fact, I'm wearing Broken Twills as we speak. Been breaking them in for about 4-5 days of wear now, and they're a lot less rigid.

what is the deal with broken twills? I see it thrown around a lot but what is the denim like? my wgs are just plain indigo. I'm actually not entirely sure I could do a 28. The pair I have now was preowned and the previous owner stretched them out. I hot soaked them though and they are still a tad loose so I think I could do a 28. not that it matters right now, this pair still has a lot of life in them. definitely lusting after some of the nicer denim which is popping up though (jap heritage looks baller).

If you mean the Barneys Co-op on Wooster I don't think they have men's there. Just FYI. The Co-op in Chelsea has a bunch of N&F, though not sure about the linen. You may want to call first.

I'm gonna check out the one in Soho for the linen jeans.

Definitely going for the Jap Heritage when it comes out. I can't really compare between the broken twill and, say, deep indigo (never having had the indigo) but I like the look of broken twill. I know it doesn't fade as well as the indigo, but it's a tad lighter in weight and I thought it, weirdly, looked darker than the deep indigos from the pictures I've seen.

Technically, broken twill refers to the denim having no left or right 'hand' (twist) because it is woven in both directions (or some such shit). Far as the denim itself, it's really dark and quite study, but the sturdiness is NOT because it is overstarched or heavy, it's just sturdy and canvas-y.

I don't think it fades very fast, however you can wear them immediately without any bizarre "break in" period or requirement to wash out the overstarch like Deep Indigos. I am a fan.

BT Sk Guys are cut slightly larger than say, Deep Indy Sk Guys (you can see this on Blue Owls sizing charts). I'm a 32 in BT SkG's with no need to stretch anything and a 32 in DI SkG's was fckn tight.

I'm probably gonna get the J Heritage, too. I know there have been comments on the denim, but does anyone know if they fade fast? I just want ONE stupidly fast fading pair of denim.

Probably about to ask something that's been asked and answered already and I apologize for that but was there a price range expected for the Japanese Heritage denim?

I just saw these Slim guy cashmere strech in the "cashmere" color on the Tobi website. I went on N&F's website and they don't have a cashmere color, is that exclusive for tobi or is this just an old color.

    Any insights ?

Does anyone have any experience with the Nep selvedge?

I'm trying to decide on the Nep Selvedge and Deep indigo. I want something that fades relatively fast.

Also, anyone know where to get the cheapest Deep Indigos via coupon code, sale, etc?

    Thanks

yeah, they're a little old but alot of places still have them floating around. Not sure why it isn't on the n+f sight anymore, but definitively not an exclusive
