I thought I'd throw out fits of green weirds sz 28 vs sz 30.

30 first, too big. Perfect for an early bday gift for my brother, though.

28 second, about right. Needs a half inch comfort stretch in hips / waist and a bit of starch relaxation to let the stacks settle.

I think it's fitting to mention that on me one pocket is always monster bad. I don't understand it. Maybe that is why they call it 'weird guy'. They are also knee bagging kinda bad at 28, but that's to be expected.

I measure ~w31 at 1" below my navel tight and solidly up to 32-33 at hip slung. I don't think individuals with 27... 28... maybe even true 29 waists can wear weird guys. Avoid them or plan ahead with return shipping labels.

I'm hoping this all means that a sz 29 Crate v Far's is perfect! I hope this was informative.

very true....im a 29w and my weird guys are AWFUL. they fit amazingly at first, but the waist and thighs stretched out toooooooooo much. can't wait to get rid of them. it's a shame too; the denim is really nice for the price point and they seem to fade pretty nicely.

How much stretching should I expect on their skinny guy blacks. The reason I ask is that I have a size 31 that's a little tight in the waist and thigh. Will it stretch out a couple of inches or should I size up to a 32 (which is my true size)?

If the 31 one feels too tight i would try the 32. The black skinny guy tends to hold its shape a bit better than the other models due to the 5% stretch. Also, personally, I go true to size in the skinny guy, while I go down one in the weird.

Yeah I went back and exchanged them for the 32s. They felt much better.

Barney's has the Slim Guy chino in some good sizes for $79 and change plus shipping. I'd jump on a pair if I had the spare cash. I'd jump on these fast; seems like sizes are limited. There's only a pair left in my size (33).

I thought about getting those chinos for work, but I dunno how my employer would feel about the topless woman.[IMG] I supposed I could just use a seam ripper.
