That's interesting. These hoodies look really nice and it seems they actually are from loopwheel machines. I wonder, though - why is N&F calling them "slow knit vintage" machines?

I'd like some confirmation, but they do look like loopwheeler fabric from the blog post on N&F.com

Edit: After comparing the close-up of the fabric to that of my Buzz Rickson and Studio D'Artisan crewneck loopwheeler sweatshirts, I can confirm that these most likely are not loopwheel'ed. I'm not saying they aren't legit "slow knit vintage," from Wakayama (the same city that produces loopwheeler sweats), but they do not appear to be the same fabric as is used and sold by The Real McCoys, Buzz Rickson, Warehouse, or SDA.

it can be terry cloth (most towels are terry) but doesn't mean its necessary loopwheeled.

although the machines look the part.

This is something a lot of people get wrong. Loopwheel has nothing to do with the fabric looking like it has loops in it. Loopwheel sweats actually have a fleece-like texture to them that is great because it stays soft and doesn't pill when washed. Loopwheel sweatshirts are super soft on the inside and look nothing like the pictures of the N&F hoodies. People are confused by this, because looped Terry hoodies logically fit into the description of "loopwheeler"

Wrong.

That's a really nice sweatshirt. Looks like we're about a year too late on it.
