How much stretch can I expect out of these Skinny Guy Broken Twills? Should I size up 1 or stay with these? Thanks guys

^ yea I am definitely going to get them hemmed up some I just wasnt sure if they seemed too tight. The Broken Twill will stretch a good amount too correct? If that is true than I should probably stay witht his size.

I don't know about the broken twill but I have the camo weft Skinny Guy and went true to size and they have stretched an inch in waist. They were rather tight but after the first week they are pretty much perfect although I wish the inseam was longer so I can have better stacks. I'm 6'2' so your miles may vary.

personally if you can size down again, I would.

also if you're going to get them hemmed I highly suggest you give them a quick 30-minute warm soak so that the inseam shrinks a bit.. then if they are too long then get them hemmed. If you get them hemmed and in 6 months time when you wash them, the inseam might shrink and the inseams will be above your ankles.

Halisray: the Broken Twill stretches a good amount your saying?

Broken Twills stretch a surprising amount; you should be fine.

Holyshit jessetk212 those are so long!

cb_32, keep posting pictures... I am curious to see how yours turn out.
I just bought the NF indigo slims (womens though) last week. I am afraid to ever soak or wash them though because the 34 inseam is barely long enough as is. Ahh i keep hearing how NF's shrink up so much, i'm screwed...

keep me posted though on your progress ;0

Yes, N&F typically stretches a fair amount pretty quickly.

mine havent stretched out that much

I believe you, that's why I said "typically" and not "universally".

If you want to avoid shrinkage, when you eventually wash your jeans, wash them in cold water, and don't use the tumble dryer. That gives you your best chance at keeping them the same length as they are now.

It's the hot water and hot tumble drying that makes them shrink the most. I lost about 2" off of my inseam after the first hot wash/tumble dry.

Does N&F make jeans that are not raw?

If you mean pre-washed, then I think the answer is no. One of their points of advertising is that they don't do washes. Quoted from the front page of their website: "We keep all our jeans raw and simple. No washes, no embroidery, no gimmicks… just the best fabric in the world combined with modern fits. We have eliminated these costly (and in our opinion unnecessary) after-effects, and have stripped down our jeans to the core essentials. Now true denimheads and newcomers alike can enjoy these special fabrics at a reasonable price."

yeah, their jeans are all raw. HOWEVER, they are not all cardboard stiff. any of them with silk, wool, or cashmere in them start off pretty soft and become very soft quickly.

Just received my Elephant Skinnies in the mail, and these are fucking awesome. They are SO stiff and thick, they make my old APC's feel like paper. I had a hard time just getting my legs all the way through the end of the jeans. The only problem I have with them are the front pockets are a tad bit small (or at least smaller than my APC's), and since they're so tight, and the denim is so rough, it kind of hurts my hand to get them in there. Not really a big problem though, and once they soften up it should be fine. I'd take some pictures but all I have is a shitty cell phone. For $135, these are pretty fucking amazing and a great deal.
