    $495 MTM suit . . thoughts??

The fit is nice, although I usually wear my pants sort of low, and these are designed for just below the navel (see the legs bunching up on the bottom) . . it's a fixable issue though, really. I'm happy with the end product, and will be returning for a navy blue once I get the funds.

Could you please post some high exposure pictures, front side and back please? It's hard to see details on a dark suit and dim lighting.

As others have said, your shirt sleeves are too short; it should show about 1/4" through jacket sleeves. Also, the shoulders seems a bit tight.

I always pass by there on my lunch break but I've never gone in...

I might just stop by tomorrow.

For $500 in NYC.. MTM suit.. given that you enjoy the fabric - I wouldn't complain.

Most of the full canvas hype [which I fall for] isn't really necessary...

I'm not a huge fan of the roping on the shoulders, but that's a personal pref. I like the nice waist suppression. Chest looks good.. Suit sleeves look good.. but maybe a 'little' short? I feel like you'll get more than the 1/2 inch with a nice shirt that fits right.

Maybe Shirtmaven/CEGO can fix that? You are already buying MTM suits.. it just makes sense at this point : )

    Good luck

for $500 it's not bad. a few observations from the 1 dark photo provided: -the collar doesn't seem to hug your neck properly, maybe it's from your shirt collar (which itself is a bit ugly imo). -sleeve pitch seems to be off. -the drape around the waist is a bit weird, looks like there is too much pulling due to too small a waist, although i can't tell unless i see the back too (in detail, not the little shot from the mirror on the right). -you really shouldn't sag your suit trousers, it looks stupid. -get a shirt next time with longer sleeves.
Most of the full canvas hype [which I fall for] isn't really necessary...
not sure what you mean by this, full canvas vs. fused provides a big difference in drape, especially in the long run.

the jacket looks like it was cut a size too small. which I guess was intentional.

the store does not appeal to me. too many windows to dress. i poked around a few weeks ago. the sales help does not seem that well trained. they also have several programs. I was confused a bit by the options as explained by the salesman.

Hey, How are you guys doing today?

My name is Michael, I just recently signed up on this site today. I work with MySuitNy as a Sales Coordinator.

Thought, maybe I gave you guys a better insight on what we offer and what the process usually is.

The prices range from $495-$1500 depending on the fabric. Whether it is 2 Buttons or 6 buttons on your jacket is completely up to you, as well as the color of lining, full canvas or half canvas, patch pockets, besom pockets, flapped and/or slanted. Pick stitching, saddle stitching, french facing, monogram.. completely up to you and however you'd like to design your suit.

You have 5 different styles to choose from as far as the "Fitting" goes.

Normal , Executive (bigger belly), Atheletic (bigger chest, shoulder, arms) , Short, Young (European cut, narrow waist, shorter jacket length)

We take down the measurements down to the centimeter of your preference, and try to add every inch of detail the way you want it regardless of how crazy your vision is.

We had our share of unsatisfied customers, yes. But it's usually not our fault when they come in 2 weeks later gaining/losing 10-20 lbs is it? and ofcourse, sometimes we make mistakes on our end as well, but we have no problem either refunding or recutting your suit.

We have all sorts of fabric, house to imported... Kiton, Brioni, Zegna, Loro Piana.. you name it.. if we dont carry it, wont be too hard to purchase the fabric needed.

If you guys have any questions, dont be afraid to drop me a line, I will answer your questions as fast and honest as possible.

And, if you were to ever stop by our store to pick up a 2-piece or a 3, just let me know in advance, I'll have one of our better tailors ready to assist you.. that's a guarantee. [IMG]

It looks not bad based on the price .But on some points it seems really not good. The armhole looks a little not fitting and the shape of the sleeve looks also not good .In addition, you really need to wear one shirt which has the longer sleeve .

Have you told a complaining customer that his suit doesn't fit well because he gained/lost 20 pounds in two weeks time?

Since when did Kiton and Brioni become Fabric manufacturers ?

Why don't you just get rid of the bad tailors and hire more of the great ones so everyone gets a good experience.

If some of your customers wrote a book about how they lost 20 pounds in two weeks (short of losing a limb or something) they'd have a bestseller and could afford a better tailor.

    hi everyone,

To my surprise as I signed on to this site, I saw a couple of referances to my store (My suit Made To measure). near herald square, the actual address is 1270 broadway (corner). And to my distress I saw some people making outrageous claims that apparently have similar named companies or websites. The character who is signed on as jlee605 with the thread "mtm in nyc" apparently works for a similar named company and is making some pretty outrageous claims or excuses as to why the suits he's apparently making don't fit his clients. Just to clarify, there is only 1 (My Suit Made To Measure). We have been in the suit business for over 40 years, In this location for over 15 years, and would never be affiliated with somebody who makes such outrageous claims. If you would like to visit our website it is MYSUITNY.com it will explain in detail on how we can exceed your made to measure expectations.

i bought 2 suits and 3 shirts 2 years ago (bad choice)

    1) the fabric was as stiff as cardboard($700 per suit)
    2) im 6'2 180 pounds athletic build would normally wear a 42l (if i bought off the rack)
the tailoring is probably the absolute WORST i have ever had.nothing fit even after they tried to alter, the jacket was way to tight, the length way to short, the sleeves to short, the pants where to tight in the waist and seat. the length of the legs where too short i could go on n on long story short i didn't even bother to wear them(i donated them to charity n used it as a tax write off)

the shirts are 1 ply and needless to say they didn't last 3 wears before they had holes in them.

1 positive: the salesman was nice but who cares when your out $1600.

    GOOD IS NOT CHEAP
    AND
    CHEAP IS NOT GOOD!!!!
