The type from Kiton that I have is a very soft plastic. Usually collar stays are too hard, so you can see its outline through the collar, and doesn't really allow for a collar roll. I've been looking for something similar as well, that doesn't involve emails to Italy.

The Jermyn Street formula would be unfused (or softer lining), but stiffer stays. NsM's lightly fused collars don't need a ton of help from the stays, so they use this kind instead. Nothing magic or intrinsically virtuous. I use and like both.

Heard from Mina. Things are still crazy there, but they will likely get back to work next week.

I've noticed that a lot of the Italian tailors have websites that looked like they were designed 10 years ago. They aren't as slick and user friendly as US or UK tailors.

My guess is that they aren't putting those invoices at top priority. Also, perhaps the IT people are not able to be working with the lockdown there.

I have two pairs of trousers delayed by UK Customs, for reasons best known to themselves. Fedex is hopeless, and this is a big problem post-Brexit.
