No, I remain somewhat conflicted about it.
Understandable. A cost I am not sure can be justified for myself.
Well, for me it's not the cost as much as the notion of traveling to France just to get shoes made. Or to put another way, the notion of wasting time on clothes and shoes that could be spent better while in France. Unlike some of you actually, or many of you aspirationally, buying clothes and shoes are the last things on my mind when I travel...and by last, I mean never.
Of course, there are English alternatives who do (or who have told me that they are willing if I ask) come to Boston. I'm not quite sure that I want to scuttle the shoes that I already have for one of them.
Mostly, though, I'm too distracted by other things to think this out. So, I haven't bothered yet since an obvious bespoke choice has yet to emerge.
This is a wonderful jacket. I am saddened that I am beginning to explore bespoke just as Carlo Barbera has disappeared from the market.
Not really...since it is my attitude about it that is inconsistent.
x-post from CBD thread. NSM's work
I would think that the curiosity of it would have gotten to you at some point. You obviously enjoy your clothing, which I would assume includes the creative aspect of it. Along the lines of a pure curiosity I would think it something worth investigating.
Chris might have some squirreled away...check with him, maybe you'll be lucky.
I am disappointed at the level of thoughtfulness in this post. I was hoping for some snark.
He did, I am, and I am very grateful to him.
LOVE the cloth on gdl's jacket.
That makes a lot of sense. I claim the right to be irrational about some things, nevertheless.
There was a tinge of snark in it. Look closer.
