Next three trips: Late September - Early October Late November Late February
The "V" is approx 2" wide. I t reminded me of 1940's French and English country scale patterns. I asked Mina to make it with 3 patch pockets and a more relaxed cut.
What does this mean?
Not quite so fitted and a centimeter or two longer. More like a country jacket than an urban dandy. But, we shall see what I get
Didn't you request a longer jacket with more room for the first commission? How did that turn out? Too short and trim?
Trio of Minnis fresco, with pocket configuration the only variable. Thanks to all those who recommended Minnis fresco, the stuff is sublime even during the mid-day Napoli heat.
^^ I see you went with much narrower lapels for these.
Very nice. I like the combination of patch pockets, ticket pocket and regular flaps. Nice way to add a little variety.
eddie - did you loose weight? the arms seem slightly long on your 3 coats.
anyone have any examples of Mina's work for Formal Wear?
These look a bit softer than your previous commissions.
I really like the ticket pocket on the middle one - it fits well with the overall sporty aesthetic of this set of commissions (with shorter jacket, etc). All look great though.
Mina will be back in New York October 1-3. And Boston October 4 and 5.
Here's a few photos from her last visit to San Francisco. A few of my jackets and suits: Minnis houndstooth flannel suit, a cashmere/wool blazer and a simple worsted suit. Last two are Italian cloth from Mina's books.
