1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

That might be from Caccioppoli. The 8 oz weight might be better for NY's hot summers, but I wanted something a little heavier. Thinking about just doing CMT with them. Dino doesn't seem to answer my emails about whether or not they can get heavier cottons.

No, since I just asked out of curiosity. I'm living abroad for the moment so won't have a chance to visit them for the next half year anyway...

I wish they'd change their name. Can you image a Savile Row-based bespoke tailor naming themselves Savile Row made-to-measure?

Perhaps a stupid thing to moan about, but I recall Mafoofan ridiculing the pretentiousness of the name, and I wonder how many people it actually puts off.

It doesn't seem that much different than a Neapolitan tailoring house calling itself London House. I'm just saying...

Because you like the styling of these or plain front with 1/4 top pockets don't lay flat on the hip?

Su Misura should not be translated literally from Italian, it actually means 'bespoke' in our understanding.

So it's closer name is 'Naples Bespoke' not 'Naples Made to Measure'.
I think 'Naples Bespoke' is a nice name!

Caveat - I am not Italian but know a little :)

Because you recommended it for flat front casual pants. The version they made for Vox looked good so I figure I would give it a try. I usually don't know if I like a garment until I have lived with it for a while.

I think when LH started in the 30s or whenever it wasn't primarily a tailor shop but a store selling British imports. So the name makes sense, at least historically.
