1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Does she give them to people who look like they really care or people who look like they'll otherwise mess it up?

Aren't you supposed to wear them raw and never, ever wash them? This is the streetwear and denim thread right? :)

RE: Mina's instructions, not that strict but she made it clear that for the sake of the lapel roll the lapels should only be ironed from the back. Dino also mentioned that it's best to put a piece of cloth (like a handkerchief) between the iron and the fabric of the suit. I'm still giving my local guy grief over half folded shirt collars so my guess is that these types of requests are way outside the realm of possibility.

Anyway, thanks for the recs. I've received a few other nods for Meurice so I may go with them. I'll report back when the time comes.

Go for a cleaner who does does the cleaning all by hand. You won't get special considerations from those who do it by machine. I took my SC to a regular cleaner, paid $3 and it came back darker and had also shrunk at the sleeves. I took it to a hand cleaner, paid $25, the dark color came off and looks much better.

This is pretty basic stuff, and most quality cleaners follow these steps (i.e. C. French, Hallak, M. Paulette etc.).

Is there any way Mina will come to DC, and is it possible to achieve the Phineas Cole look through her I've noticed she cuts a slim suit?

asking a bespoke house to conform to a mass-market brand's cut is like telling a fine restaurant to make something you ate at a chain restaurant, if I were you I would let her do her thing, if you're looking for roped sleeves, go with a british or northern italian tailor instead of neapolitan, although theres nothing wrong with having both styles in your closet

NSM has just moved into a lovely new space, about 5 minutes from the former atelier and 3 minutes from the recently-vacated Rubinacci building. For those familiar with Mina's former premises, the new digs are several times larger and will have dedicated areas for fabrics, shirtings, fittings, and a workshop for a good number of her tailors to work on-site. Furniture is still on order, so it will be several weeks before the space is propertly kitted out, but just wanted to share what subsequent visitors to NSM can expect.

I also had a few fittings... below a DB in Smith Woolens.

Looks nice, but it seems that everything is very high up, the button point, the hem and so forth.

Fancy. I'm glad they're doing well.

I agree with PB - the buttoning point seems to be a bit too high (particularly for NSM). But nice overall.
