Medtech, I have to disagree with you. The first two that show above are in the squashed full moon, or bag o' gold shape. The second two that you posted are like mine.

The pockets on this and this...

...are more akin to each other than either are to your first two jackets above. What makes them more similar is the straight bottom edge and the straight interior edge at 90 degrees to each other, joined by a rounded corner.

Here's your first photo in edge relief, just to bring out the lines of the pocket in your first jacket more obviously...

    ...and one of Parker's...

These second two are much rounder and plumper all round, in the mode most popular with SF virtual opinionizing currently (but no Sciamat...too round, too round! uttereth the crowds...)

As for my NSM patches looking like my stuff from others, both the Steed and MBT patches have rounded bottoms in the bag o' gold mode, not the virtually straight bottom and straight interior side as the first two examples in this post.

I guess that I'm puzzled why it's such a big deal that Mina's guys would make more than one shape. They obviously do, you can see it in mine and at least two of yours.

The patch pocket chat is serving in as a stand-in for topics of deeper meaning, like global warming or the poor quality of vegetables today.

For those of you that received jackets with both kinds of the patch pockets, did mina say anything about the pockets being different or why?

Have you considered two perfectly circular breast patch pockets, one on each side?

Just made a really good martini: No. 3 from BB&R and Vya vermouth. Stirred round fifty times, not a single bubble in the pour.

It really bothers me when a bartender shakes a martini if you don't specify. Although the ingredients are the same, however it really does give it a swamp water flavor.
